You said he was twelve when it started.. His behavior, ie when he sat in the priest's lap, did not sound very age appropriate. A 6 or 7 year old might have done that.. Also, the priest probably would have done a few sessions with just talking to the boy, so that [the boy] would feel more comfortable doing later sessions. You also wrote that he was called Father Martin, even though he was the Cardinal .. he would have been called Cardinal Martin. In the Catholic hierachy, only priests are called 'Father,' and a Cardinal is a lot higher up. But your story still rocks. |
