The Man and the Poet

I look to seek my destiny!

Destiny comes

Only in time.

But you turn it down.

Such a thing is a crime.

Then I seek revenge.

Revenge is sweet

In the evil ones eye.

If you think so,

Your heart is awry.

Then I seek love.

Love,

Such a thing to ask,

After throwing it away

At the very last.

You try my patience!

Patience, oh no!

You have none of that.

Greedy, oh yes!

As blind as a bat.

Then I seek honour!

Hounour is something Everyone desires.

But you have none.

You're cast into the fires.

Then I seek death.

Ah! Death is peace!

Tis only fair.

I can tell that you're

Dying to get there!
