Lost and Found
Chapter One
The density of the heat of the jungle seemed to get a little thinner as the time passed. The men continued setting up camp in the clearing they had found. Large walk-in tents were put up along with a work area that had tools, test tubes, glass bottles, and other things also. Rocks circled around where there was a bundle of wood in; a large pot lying near it also, no doubt this would be where the food was cooked. There was also a long wooden table, which would be used to dine on. A woman with blonde hair tied back into a ponytail walked out from her tent dressed in a T-shirt and brown shorts, a sun visor on her head and a bottle of water in her hand. She lifted her hand and fanned her face; "It’s still feels hot out here, David. When is this going to end?" She said as she opened her bottle of water and sipped from it. A tall man with sandy brown hair and wearing glasses walked out from the tent looking down at some papers in his hands. "Terri, the heat will die down as soon as it gets dark. It should be a little cooler at nighttime. Right now, I can’t worry about the heat. I have to worry about where to find one of those animals at." He said as he sat himself down in a chair and crossed his legs.
"Honestly, David. Do you actually think one of those anthro things actually exist and live out here?" His wife asked as she fanned her red face.
David shrugged a little bit and then rubbed his chin, "I didn’t say that, but it’s possible. There had been sightings of them around here, not in this exact area, but here. Some people actually seen something in these woods, but they don’t know what. I expect you to always stay right here in the camp. There may not be any anthros here, but there are other dangerous animals here." She looked at him and nodded sipping her water again before she cried out, "Wait, where is Janus? Is he here!? Janus!"
"I’m right here." A soft voice said. She turned around and gave a sigh of relief as she saw her son standing there holing his drawing notebook under his arm. She walked over to him giving him a hug, "Oh don’t ever scare me like that. Stay around where I can see you."
The boy nodded a little apologetically, "Yes, mom."
David shook his head looking over at her, "Quit babying him, Terri. The boy is almost fourteen already and you treat him like he’s seven. He evens act like a seven year old too."
"He does not. Janus is just sensitive and a little shy…and he tends to get scared a little bit. But he’s really a big boy and he can do a lot for himself too." She said, looking at her son and rubbing his head.
"Oh please, Terri. The boy is scared of the dark and spiders. We should have left him at home with your sister in Boston instead of brining him half way around the world with us."
Janus looked down a little whimpering smally as he pinched the fabric of his shirt. He felt some discomfort from his parents’ conversation. Though what his father was saying was true. He was very shy and sensitive and usually kept to himself. His mother always treated him as if he was a newborn, only he was missing was a bib. He had sandy blonde hair; it was a little short and came to the back of his neck. His lips were a light salmon color and his skin was eye pleasing cream color, soft and smooth and very clean.
"Ah, you two argue to much over the boy!" A man with jet-black hair pulled back behind his head came up to them and ruffled Janus’s hair. Strands of his hair were out of place and sticking out now. The boy then put his hands on top of his head and put them back place.
"See, Eric? He even cares how he looks." David pointed out.
"Big brother you worry too much." He slapped David on his back, "He just needs to get outside more and play with other boys." Eric was Janus’s uncle; also David’s younger brother. He had came on this little trip with them, since his brother needed the extra help and he could take pictures and put them in his column of his magazine, Greatest Wonders, if they actually found any anthros or any other weird creatures. He started the magazine when he was eighteen and now he’s twenty-five. So, he started out young.
Terri looked down at Janus and then pointed over to the tent, "Janus why don’t you go take a nap or something. Your skin might go dry and get red if you stay outside too long. And you have such pretty skin and it shouldn’t be ruined." He nodded a little and walked off to one of the tents as his mother had requested. David mumbled a little under his breath and then leaned back in his chair going over the papers in his hands. Eric leaned back against the edge of the table crossing his arms over his muscular chest, "So, when can we go scouting for these so called anthros, bro?" David looked up from his paper and at his brother, "Well, we don’t know for sure if there are any, but that’s what we’re here for isn’t it? Well, from all this data I got off of my laptop, I know that they are usually out at nighttime and not day. So we can head off when it starts to get dark, which should be in about two hours or less. You and…" He turned around in his chair a little and pointed to a man with short brown messy hair and the tips of it dyed blonde, wearing some blue jeans and a black tank top, carrying a wooden crate, "…Kane can go."
"Just us?" Eric asked, looking over in the direction to where his brother pointed at, "Don’t you think that’s not very many?"
David nodded and then leaned back in his chair, "Yes, but you won’t be going out that far to look for any. I just wanted you two to look around the area a little before we actually venture out to cover more ground and besides someone has to watch Terri and Janus."
"Ah, I read you loud and clear bro. We’ll go right after dinner then…" Eric said, but was a little interrupted by his brother’s wife.
"Oh! I forgot! I need to cook dinner. David do you have a match or a lighter? I need to get a fire started." Terri asked. David took a lighter out from his pocket and handed it to her. She kissed his cheek and walked off.
Inside the tent, Janus was sleeping peacefully on a cot. The boy murmured in his sleep and yawned turning over. His arm hanged off the side of the cot, it dangling over a notepad that had sketches on a few pages. One of the pages having a sketch of a female with pointed cat-like ears and a tail.

~ Elsewhere ~
Far from the campsite, there was a large clearing with a large cave. There were a few patches of flowers here and there around the cave. Tall trees surrounded the area, along with some vines that dangled down. Rustling was made in the treetops, as there were some movement detectable. A figure then dropped down from the treetops and landed nimbly on the ground. A long tail swished against the ground and made a dirt cloud as it swayed back and forth against the ground. Pointed ears twitch a little and a pair of flaxen eyes looked about. The slender figured walked off from shadows under the trees and to the middle of the clearing where there was still light. There stood a female anthro, a cat-type. She had smooth ivory fur, it almost looking like smooth pale skin and patch of black fur over her left eye. Her hair was a wild tangy orange color, with a wild purple blossom in her hair. She was wearing some form of clothing over her shapely body, a tattered top that barely was enough to cover her busty chest and some short-shorts that were unbuttoned. She had taken some of these clothes from travelers that were usually in the jungle. Her tail curled a little as she looked about the area and then to the cave opening that was a few feet in front of her. She walked over to the cave entrance before calling out, "Is anyone there?" There was silence, but then the sound of purring and movement being heard. She walked in with her tail swishing back and forth and found two figures lying on the ground, her sisters. One of them gave a yawn with her tail curled up, she had jet-black shimmering fur, a blotch of white fur on her chest and a ring around her eye, her hair was dark cerulean and stopped just above her shoulders. Her attire she wore was similar to hers a little; trimmed opened shorts and a white blue tank top. Mai leg hung over K’s mid-section as she slept. Her orange fur covered with black spots a little ruffled up as she turned in her sleep; her flowing blond hair scattered against the ground. She wearing small purple top and what looked like matching panties. Her tail swayed back and forth as she slumber.
"Will you two wake up!"
K’ sat up immediately and yawn stretching her arms up, "Katana, do you have to be so loud? I was taking a cat nap."
Katana looked down at her sisters and shook her head, "You two slept long enough. It’s almost night now and we need to talk anyway." K’ looked up at her older sister and then gave a slight ‘humph’ and swatted her tail in Mai’s face.
"Wake up, Mai." K’ said as she pushed her leg off of her and stood up. Mai slowly got up and got into a sitting position and opened her golden eyes and narrowed them up at Katana, "What?"
"Good, I’m glad you’re awake now. I have to talk to both of you about…" She stopped for a moment and looked at ‘both’ of them. Both? She looked around and didn’t see the other one, "Where is Tara?"
K’ and Mai looked at each other and then shrugged in union.
"Wait, I’m right here!" A young female anthro ran to the entrance of the cave, she breathing lightly as she smiled weakly. Her fur was a sandy orange cream color, a large patch of creamy white fur going from her stomach to her chest. Strands of her short pink hair dangling in front of her face, she wearing just a white T-shirt that came down to her thighs and wrapped around her body outlining her curves. Katana narrowed her eyes and looked at her as she folded her arms.
"Where have you been, Tara?" She asked as she looked at the youngest of her sisters. Tara swayed her tail back and forth and looked up at Katana with her deep innocent azure eyes.
"I…I was…just out scavenging for food. That’s all." She said a little timidly.
"Do it at night or have me do it. I don’t want you out in the daytime. Anyway, what I wanted to talk to you all about was involving mating. We have to find a suitable mate or at least male to bear cubs if we’re going to expand our kind."
K’ flopped back against the fur blanket groaning, "Not again. Can’t we talk about this another time, Katana?"
"Well I do. You know there aren’t really any males around here." Katana said.
Mai’s tail swished back and forth, "Purr…what about Theo?"
Katana shook her head, "I have no idea where he is at all…probably too far from here. We have to find some kind of male."
K’ yawned and put her hands behind her head, "What about a male human?"
Katana shook her head furiously, "Absolutely not! I don’t believe that thought ever crossed your mind K’!"
K’ waved a hand, "Think of it this way, we really don’t have a choice. And there are no males of our kind around. So it’s our only choice."
Mai purred as her tail swayed slowly against her back, "I wouldn’t mind that. Human males can tend to be very easily seduced."
Katana folded her arms, her tail curling up in annoyance. She closed her eyes as she was in deep through, her tail twitching a little. She wasn’t too sure about this, but as her sister was, there is no other choice. "Very well. But the only problem now is that we don’t’ really see any humans around here that much anymore. So, this is going to be more complex than I thought."
"I know where there are humans at." Tara said, with a little bit of enthusiasm.
Mai got up on her knees and looked over to Tara, her tail curling up, "You did? Where? And how did the males look?"
"I thought you said you were looking for food." Katana said, as she narrowed her golden eyes on Tara. Tara looked down and held the end of her tail in her hand and stuttered slightly. Katana shook her head, "Oh, never mind. Where did you see the males at?"
"Well, they aren’t too far from here. They setup camp and so far I think I’ve seen about two or three males."
Mai stood up and stretched out she walking to the cave entrance and could see the sun setting as she looked up at the sky, " I think that’s a perfect number. That should be a perfect quantity. So, when can we leave Katana?"
"As soon as dark settles, but all of you be careful. Males can be very unpredictable and sometimes overpowering." Katana said, as she walked out from cave brushing past Tara. Tara gave a sigh of relief and then wondered if she would ever see the youngest one from that group of males from this afternoon again.

This ends Chapter One. I might re-write this if this isn’t that good. This chapter might have been fair. The second chapter will have strong sexual themes to it so be warned just to let you know. Oh, yeah and I fixed this chapter. I noticed there was a chunk of a part missing when I was describing on eof the anthro sisters. But the glitch is fixed.
