Spirits In The Wood

By: Neko-chan

Spirits are in the woods.

I sense them all around me.

Strange, eerie, powerful...

but I know that they mean no harm.

Faerie rings dance around me.

Gods and Goddesses rejoice in their tune.

Everywhere at once...

yet nowhere at all.

I sense you near.

Walking with me?

Dancing with me?

Raising your own face to the sun?

So strong, yet so gentle.

So judging, yet so forgiving.

The lifeblood of the world.

My Mother Goddess.

As dainty as the zephyr,

your arms wrap around me.

Yet with the fury of a typhoon,

you protect me.

I see them all

in the corner of my eye.

Faerie rings dancing

'round and 'round.

You join in and

beckon me closer.

But...do I dare?

You and the others

are with me always.

There is no end.

There is no beginning.

Only You.

There are Spirits in the Woods.

Did you know that?

I danced with them

by the light of the Moon.

Funny, am I?

Odd, am I?

Strange, am I?

I AM.

I am me.

You are you.

We are we.

And they are they.

THEY are the lifeblood of the world.

They are our mothers,

our fathers,

our brothers and sisters.

With us always.

Always.

Walking and talking

as they rejoice in Life.

I danced in

a Faerie Ring last night.

As I danced,

I saw the World.
