---------------------
Wind smacked right in her face. Her tresses of hair floated in midair, riding the wind. Her skirt fluttered. Her eyes remained wide, unblinked, staring straight into the clear blue sky. So silent.
She remembered when she was just a little child, how her parents loved her. She was the type of kid who would build sandcastles on the beach and afterwards jumped on her creation with glee together with the innocent eyes twinkling in delight. Every night, before entering slumber land, she would insist a bedtime story read to her by mommy or daddy, and finally ending with a goodnight kiss. She loved school at that time, the place she looked forward to go to everyday. Those were the good times.
She blinked.
She remembered that, as she grew older, she began to dread school. So much to learn, so much to do. She could not handle. Her friends strive for good grades and credits but she had other plans for herself. The only time she liked school was when she spotted a new cute guy. Break time was spent under the periwinkle tree with her girl friends gossiping, it was enjoyable but she felt mean and insensitive when they talked about a certain loner and what kind of treatment was to be done on that person.
She blinked.
She remembered the times when she quarreled with her friends. Her heart was so full of hatred. Some arguments lasted for a few days, some a few months. Some she forgave and forgets but some she wrote down in her book of "-unwanted-". She recalled vividly a girl crossed her path at the wrong time and she despised her to the core. She cut off her ponytail right in the middle of a lesson and threw it on the floor. Such shiny and silky blond hair! She didn’t care. She even poured mealworms down the girl’s bag. She seemed proud and victorious, but deep in her heart, she wished she’d apologize and make up. But she couldn’t find the courage.
She blinked.
She remembered her boyfriend. They were very compatible, or so said the people around them. Of course! The most gorgeous girl in school and the cutest guy in the football team. The other girls envied her so much, some even tried plastic surgery. She seemed to have all the glory and attention, but deep in her heart, she wished she was just a plain unnoticed being.
She blinked.
She remembered the times when she truly felt secure were the moments in his arms. It was as if they were alone on the planet, she wished she’d never had to leave his embrace. With him, she knew everything is under control. She loved him so much, he meant the world to her. When their lips met, time seemed to have stopped, entwining them in a momentum of pure blissfulness. When he whispered the three words to her, she felt reassured about her future, all her troubles and uncertainty would melt away. She hated when the time came to part.
She blinked.
She remembered the day she graduated. So merry, everyone was grinning and taking photos. She thought her problems would finally come to an end. But life was cruel. That night, he called her and asked for a break-up. She thought that life had just played the most awful joke on her. She felt stabbed right in the heart, she cannot understand why it must be her. Reality was just too unfair to her. She cried, tears never seemed to stop flowing from her eyes. Her life was declared useless, she hated the world.
She blinked.
She remembered just yesterday, her parents told her it doesn’t matter if he didn’t love her anymore, they still do. She replied with the rudest words that anyone could think of and locked herself in her room. The dam in her eyes opened its gate and tears gushed out uncontrollably as the world collapsed on her frail body.
She blinked. Now the sky was stained with crimson, some pink clouds invaded the once cloudless sky and they formed a circle with a small hole showing the sky. Just like a hole to a passage in sky.
She closed her eyes, immersing herself in her bitter memories. She was glad that everything was ending soon.
"Goodbye world." She whispered.
Looking down the building, she took a step forward and jumped.
