This is my first poem, so please don't flame.

Your Ignorance Must Be Bliss

For you the world is divided into clear lines of black and white

The good and bad clearly defined and divided

You are on the virtuous side; all different on the other

You have no need to be all seeing because you already know

That people different than you are lesser and evil

If you bother to open your eyes, mind, soul

You could see that nothing is black and white

Nothing is clearly divided

You walk the world, confident in your ability

To judge your fellow mankind

Condemning them based on your bias

Of being unlike you

You take the role of judge, jury, executioner

Whether the sentence is shunning, mocking, or blows from you posses' fists

When your true role is Hypocrite

You ridicule others' dreams, hopes, desires

While you hide yours and climb over the corpses of your "friends"

To make sure that yours succeed while theirs fail

All you know is take and you surround yourself with givers

When they become depleted you discard them and hunt for new victims

People who are naive to you and wish to be a part of your group

You judge on narcissism using yourself as the standard

Those found lacking are lucky for a kind word

All rivals are eliminated and reduced to the ranks of the unworthy

You date only those who have passed your vigorous tests

Only to discard them the next week when their hair color falls out of favor

You look around at your world and see

Those who are your enemies who appear as "friends," acquaintances, strangers

You guard yourself vigilantly against the perceived threats

But you hide your fears just like your hopes

You look in a mirror and see your own worst enemy

But are too ignorant to know it
