Toy Boats, Toy Men

When I walk home,

So awfully alone,

I know now not to trust you

Ever again

And while I sleep,

Your fake navy fleet

Can sink to the bottom

Of the deep-dark sea

‘Cause as it is,

 My army’s guns

Are pointed straight at

Your forlorn crew

And you’ll see,

How it comes to be,

That your mighty empire,

Falls on its face.

Who said enemies can’t be friends?

As the toy soldiers take on plastic boats

And the worn out sailors share drinks with G.I.s

Praying for a compromise, in the morn.

Many nights, the seagulls flew over the coast

Our worries not at all like most.

But then a storm swept over the grassy knowl,

And war set out,

War has no soul.

The morning broke,

And the plastic folk,

Begin their useless battles anew

Above their heads,

A new group flew,

Landing in the middle of a,

Violent war.

And as it seems,

They knew what to do,

And suddenly everything

Was renewed.

But tension never ceases

No war ever won,

Even when it was

Just for fun.

Even when the war was just for fun.

A/N: Random, random, random I know! I just picked up a pen and wrote this in a notebook for no reason what-so-ever and thought it was pretty spiffy so decided to post. Please, I already know this is crap, so refrain from any flames you might feel inclined to post. ^-^ Until next time I guess!
