Hoping you'll come home

A/N- Guess I ought to explain this...It's nearly midnight here, I'm tired,
I have school tomorrow and yet I can't sleep. This is for a love of mine.
*sticks her tongue out at a few of her friends* And I'm not telling you
who it is.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tonight I sat here,
all alone.
Just waiting for you to return home.
I know it will be years from now,
And you would have forgotten me.
But I hope to open up your eyes.
To make you see.
I spent so many lonely nights
Dreaming of you.
And I wondered to myself,
did you dream about me too?
No, I know you won't.
You shouldn't waste your time.
And you shouldn't worry about
my dreams to make you mine.
So I sit here tonight.
Cold and all alone.
Tears streaming from my eyes,
Still hoping you'll come home.
