Memories of Kiwi

By: Neko-chan

There I sat, contemplating

the bright yellow ball overhead.

Warmth spread through

my body and I wiggled

toes in delight.

Hot, hot day--

everything shimmered around me.

No breeze and

no relief for me.

I'm sleepy with warmth.

Sharp and tangy,

another slice pops into my mouth.

Delicious juices filled

my mouth and

I closed my eyes in pleasure.

There I sat, contemplating

while I ate.

I had forgotten this...

The joys of eating kiwi

on a hot summer day.

My memories of a kiwi.
