Please Save Our Planet Earth
In outstretched hands the world is in,
To cherish, to love, or fill with sin.
'Twas born as a child, innocent and blind,
But soon only a broken heart you shall find.
Pollution of air, sea, and land,
These are some of the matters at hand.
Car exhaust and death of a seal,
Beer cans for all as the everyday meal.
Taking one's life, taking one's home,
Baby animals all alone.
Cutting the tree, building the road,
Watching the homeless' tale unfold.
The animals are not alone in their strife,
Some humans are also defending their life.
The homeless, the helpless, the hungry and sick,
Those who haven't had the first pick.
"Holier than thou" is now man's opinion
Of the inhabitants of the animal dominion.
Abuse has resulted from this belief,
And so do we raise the animals' grief.
Another great issue is every man's trash,
Of which soon there will be no place to stash.
The waste in our landfills is growing too high,
Why don't we recycle, and give it a try?
Clorofluorocarbons are raising the price
Of a healthy ozone, wouldn't that be nice?
Aerosol cans are where these guys bloom,
Hair sprays and styrofoam add to the doom.
Fire, flood, tornado and quake,
A life is what these can take.
A habitat or home may die,
But does anyone sit down and cry?
A wanna-be Mars the Earth has become,
Heat plus heat, real hot is the sum.
Global warming is slow but sure,
We have not found a much-needed cure!
But it's not too late to save from disaster,
The ruining is fast, but you must be faster.
So help this planet of innocent birth,
Please save our Planet Earth!
