The cold autumnal wind howled around the trees, sounding like some primeval beast on the prowl.

The frozen grass crunched beneath her feet and she sobbed to the feel the cold in her bones.

Elsie Smith, 15 year old underachiever with red hair and black eyes, born with child baring hips and D-cup bosom, shivered in her 3 inch heals and tapped softly at the door of the old game keepers hut.

The door was opened a crack and a pale blue eye looked out nervously.

"Holly! Let me in!" Elsie said sternly, in no mood to play about with the weather as cold as it was, the blue eye blinked once then widened in recognition.

The door was shut and then opened fully allowing Elsie to enter.

****************************

The inside of the hut had been decorated with an old sheepskin rug and heater from Elise's father's hardware store.

Crates from Holly's father's fruit and Vegetable store where being used as seats for the various members of the coven.

Over in the far corner sat Heather Locklin, the coven's leader; her long ash blond hair falling in waves over her shoulders and her stick thin body hunched up over her book.

Next to her Will Turner, 13-year-old tech whiz pushed the buttons on his game boy in rapid succession.

Across from them Kath Walsh was reapplying her lipstick, midnight blush.

And then by the door stood Holly Darling, nervously tugging at a blond curl and smoothing down her shirt over her rounded stomach.

"I brought the stuff" Elsie said, she knelt down on the floor and opened her bag tipping out the content.

Candles rolled all over the floor; a box of matches flopped helplessly and the old leather book toppled open on a page marked "candle magic"

"Ready to punish the undeserving?" Kath asked, but Heather shook her head slinking down from her crate and picking up some of the escaping candles.

"Do as you will but harm non" she intoned, setting the candles up in the shape of a square.

A brown candle for the watch tower of earth

A yellow candle for the watch tower of air

A red candle for the watch tower of fire

And a blue candle for the watchtower of water.

The others joined her, Will sitting by air, Kath by fire, Holly by earth and Elsie by water.

Heather grabbed the matches and struck up a light, it flickered and burned before she lit the first candle, the black one in her hand.

"Remember tell no one about this meeting"
