A new poem of mine commemorating Remembrance Day. Here it is! Flames welcomed!!!

Here We Lay

To this day we lie in the ground.

We exist only in memories.

Our victories and our faults remembered.

To this day we lie in the cold, dark earth.

Our souls lost in space.

Though our attempts were not in vain.

We helped to bring freedom.

We lie in the ground,

Remembered by the poppies,

The poppies of Flanders's Field.

Red like the color of our spilt blood,

Black like the color of mourning.

We are all remembered on November 11.

Here we lay in the ground

Author's notes: Well what do you think?
