Two girls, a Tiger, and a Vampire

You might wander what happens when two girls get together and get bored. Based on a true story that happened to Alma and I...

Authors Note: I decided to write this story into separate chapters even though it really all goes together. It might seem annoying, but all well. My own comments are found at the end. If you have any questions feel free to ask Alma or I.

Also to clarify a few things. Alma is Darkshin's student. He has her soul. (Ask Alma on that one.) I met her through Darkshin, but one day Darkshin didn't show up while we were online and this is what happened. Also, I have just discovered I have a few powers which I have yet to perfect... Alma was taught by her Master, Darkshin and knows a few tricks of her own...

Special thanks to Alma for helping me with this story...

We decided to go on an adventure. Alma and I. We didn't even pack anything. I left my amulets at home. (I have like a million of them to ward against... everything!) All except one... the one that wards off against cockroaches. Since I really didn't want to have to face those. I could handle stuff like monsters and pop ups, but never those nasty bugs...

I suppose I'd better explain who we are. The name's Red. Well my nickname. Can't tell you my real name because then I would have to kill you, and I don't like to kill "people", so it would hurt me more than you because I would make it a quick death, and my conscious would be killing me after that, so maybe I would be joining you after that, because I couldn't bare to live with the guilt and... *Takes a deep breath* Well you get the idea. (Man that was a long sentence!) Actually there are a few that know my real name... but whatever.

My companion's name is Alma. Yep, I believe that is her real name, at least that is what she's told me. I met her through Darkshin. But he isn't in this story. Unfortunately, because our little adventure would probably have been a lot safer if he was there. But using the powers invested... I mean using the powers we had at our disposal, we managed to defeat evil. One way or another...

So, like I said we set out on an adventure and this is how it went.

~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~
"Oooh! Look! A forest! Should we go explore it?" Red said pointing to the wooded area before them. Alma shrugged.
"Sure! Let's go!"
Nothing much happened at first. Until Red stopped hesitantly.
"What is it?" Alma whispered. Red put her finger to her mouth and stood very still.
"I sense another presence... behind us." She said nervously. Alma drew her sword and they both looked behind them to see...
"WAIT!" Red shouted before Alma could do anything. "It's a kitty!"
Sure enough a huge cat stalked out from the shade. Alma looked at the oversized kitty with goggly eyes!
"Kitty!" She said running to it and hugging it. I licked her back. "It's a tiger!" Alma explained.
"That would explain the stripes." Red noticed.
"Let's keep him!" Alma said still hugging the tiger. It purred contentedly.
"Ok. What should we name him?"
Alma thought for a moment. "How about Darkshin Jr.?"
Red crinkled her nose. "Um... no." She decided.
Alma laughed and thought some more. "Ah! I don't know!" She said.
"That's it!" Red exclaimed.
"What?" Alma asked. "Ah?"
"AH! That's the perfect name!" Red said looking over at the tiger. The tiger purred at the name. "See? He likes it."
"Well then Ah it is then!" Alma said hugging the tiger. It rubbed up against her.
They continued walking into the woods with their new found friend when Red almost fell into a hole in the ground!
"Red!" Alma yelled. Red stepped back alarmed. They looked at the hole. Ah the tiger sniffed at it.
"Who would dig a hole here?" Red asked annoyed that she had almost stumbled into it.
"Looks like a trap." Alma said seriously.
"Who would built a trap here?" Red asked still disgruntled. Alma shrugged.
"We should just keep walking." She suggested. Ah sniffed at the ground next to the hole.
"What is it, Ah?" Red asked. She looked more closely at the ground under Ah's feet. Wiping away the leaves and dirt, she revealed a trap door. She opened it and noticed stairs leading downward.
"Should we go down there?"
"I don't know..." Alma speculated. "Me and traps doors don't exactly go well together. I've had some bad experiences with them."
But before any of the girls could say anything Ah ventured down the stairs.
"Wait! Ah!" Alma said fearfully! She went down after the tiger. Red saw no choice but to follow. She shrugged and began her descent. Unfortunately for Red, the door slammed shut... on her head.
"Ow!" She whined. Alma looked up at her from below the stairs.
"What happened?" She called up to Red.
"The door shut on my head!" She said rubbing her sore head as she made her way down the stairs.
Ah awaited down the stairs with Alma. There was also a man there also. Red looked suspiciously at the newcomer.
"This guy was here when I came down here." Alma explained looking over at him smiling. Ah sniffed at the man and he jumped back screaming, "Ah!"
Red smiled. "Yep, that's his name!" But then her eyes narrowed in suspicion. "Who are you?" Red said suspiciously.
"Me?" He said uncomfortably. "I'm... just a guy."
Red still looked at him suspiciously. "What's your name? And how did you get here?"
"I don't remember how I got here. I... I don't remember my name."
Alma looked at him sympathetically as Red continued with her look of suspicion.
"Red, you wouldn't be suspicious of him would you?" Alma asked.
She didn't have time to answer as millions of bats flew over head. Alma looked at the bats in admiration. One bat in particular flew at Red.
"Go away! Bat!" Red shooed swatting at it. It fluttered around some more and then hovered in front of them. Then the bat turned into a man!!!!
A tall man. He was handsome too. But not dark. Actually he was quite pale. Tall, pale and handsome. He wore a dark suit with some type of cape flowing behind him. Red eyed him smiling.
"Man... was he handsome..." She thought eyeing him up and down.
"Hello Ladies..." He said with an accent. Red eyes widened at his voice...
"Who are you?" It was Alma who spoke.
"I comva for your companion." He said pointing to the man next to them. Ah sniffed at the man and he gave it a dark look. It backed away slowly.
'Uh oh." Alma thought. She grabbed onto the man next to her. "What do you want him for?"
"He isa my servant Blah! Come vith me Blah." He said extending his hand.
"Blah?" Alma said confused.
"My name's Blah?" The man said shaking his head. "What sort of name is that?" He said shaking his head. "And how come I don't remember?"
"It might be due to zee fall you had." The tall, handsome man said.
"Oh. I fall all the time!" Alma sympathized with Blah. "But who are you?" She asked the tall man.
"My name is Evan..."
Red sighed at his name.
"...and I built this underground."
"Ooh!" Alma answered.
Red in the meantime was staring at the tall, pale man. His manner reminded her of something...
"So Evan?" Red asked looking him up and down.
"Are... you... a..." She stopped hesitantly.
"Would you... be considered a..."
"A vampire?" Alma finished.
"Yes, that's the word I was looking for." Red nodded.
"Yes." He answered simply. "Though I was hoping you vouldn't notice. Now I have to kill you." He said almost nonchalantly. Alma backed away fearfully.
"Kill us!!?!?!?" Red exclaimed. "WHY DOES IT ALWAYS HAVE TO END IN DEATH AND DESTRUCTION!!!!" She yelled aggravatingly.
"Hold on, Red." Alma said distracted. "You want to kill us?" She asked the vampire.
"Yes." He said smiling evilly. And fangs slid out from the roof of his mouth. Red looked at him with wide eyes.
"You looked better without fangs..." She muttered. And with that he rushed at Alma. She quickly dodged out of the way with ease. Then he turned his attention toward Red, but Alma came up behind him and quickly put wax on his fangs.
"You should probably use electricity." She said haughtily.
"Vhat?" He said sputtering trying to get the wax off his fangs. She pointed to the candles lining the walls.
"If you used electricity instead of candles and touches, you might not have that problem." She said giggling at how goofy he looked. He angrily spit out the wax and flew at Alma.
Alma dodged him and took out her sword. He turned and rushed at them again. Red concentrated on him as he rushed at them. Alma stood ready with her sword. Suddenly he ran flat into a translucent barrier that Red had formed with her mind. He flew backwards stunned.
Alma looked at Red amazed and then raised her sword. "Hermano Mio, Perdona me!" She cried and rushed at the vampire ready to strike. He dodged the blow and turned into to a bat and flew upward. She quickly charged at the bat swinging her katana. But the bat flew out of the way and they heard laughter echoing down the corridor.
Just then many other bats flew through the corridor, but Alma had kept her eye on the bat that was Evan. Jumping high up into the air she hit the bat with the katana. It flew down injured.
Alma looked down at the injured bat sadly.
"Sorry Evan!" She cried over the injured bat. She backed away as the bat melted into the ground. "Oh my." She muttered and went to stand by Red.
A mist began to form on the ground and the two girls watched wide eyed. It slowly rose as Evan's laughter echoed throughout the room. The girls watched in amazement as the mist rose to the ceiling and disappeared. The room was silent and Red looked around and noticed that Ah and Blah were gone.
"We should probably get out of here." Alma suggested. Red looked around in the darkness. The candles had gone out and the girls shivered in the darkness.
"But where is the door?" Red asked. Alma shot a blast of fire down the corridor but the darkness didn't dissipate from the fire.
"Perhaps this place is enchanted." Red explained. "Let's go this way." She continued pointing forward.
"OK." Alma said hesitantly looking backwards.
The two girls continued down the corridor. They stopped in front of a large picture of Evan hanging on the wall. Red looked at him sighing.
"Don't look at his eyes." She warned.
"I won't." Red promised. And jokingly drew sun glasses over his eyes. Alma laughed.
"He probably won't like me defacing his picture." Red said after a moment of admiring her art work. She erased it and the picture opened up revealing a passageway behind it. The two peeked into the hall that had just opened up.
"Should we go in?" Red asked curiously. Alma bit her lip hesitantly. They both walked into the corridor in silence looking around. It led to a dark room.
"That's strange." Red finally said as they entered the room. "For a secret room, you would think there would be something in here." She said looking around the empty dark room. Alma looked distracted toward the hall.
"I'm gonna go look around." Alma said still looking into the hall.
"Ok." Red said before tripping over something. She looked to see what it was. She retrieved a small box. Opening it, a music filled the air.
"A music box!" Red realized and looked over to where Alma was. Except she wasn't there anymore. Red played with the music box and examining it carefully. It was just a simple wood box that played music when opened.
"Wonder what it's doing here?" Red wondered. It was the only thing she found within the room.
She sat there for a while waiting for Alma to get back. After five minutes she called into the hall. "Alma?" She said worriedly. There was no answer. She waited a little longer until Alma suddenly did appear.
"There you are Alma!" She said happily. "Look what I found!" She said holding up the music box. "It was the only thing in this whole room!" She said wondering.
"Mmm-hmm." She said seemingly not interested. "He's in there." She announced pointing to the hall.
"Who? Evan?" Red asked fearfully. Alma nodded. Red looked into the hall but didn't see anything. "Where is he?" She asked hesitantly.
Alma stepped forward and transformed into Evan. Red jumped back scared. He pointed to a corner and Red noticed Alma lying on the ground. Even from a distance she could she the red bite marks on her neck. Blood trickled down from her neck and onto the floor. She looked back at Evan and glared at him. All likes for him disappeared as she continued to look at her dead friends body in the corner of her eye.
He wiped his mouth and smirked. "Somebody already has her soul, so she will be faced to roam in purgatory."
"No..." Red murmured.
His smirk widened. "Yes..." He nodded giving off an evil smile. Red raised her hand toward him.
"Try it." He dared. The he disappeared and reappeared by Alma's body. "It would be much funner to take her to purgatory myself." He said picking up her body. Red's eyes widened as he picked up her friend.
Her hand dropped to her side. "But I thought you said she was already in purgatory." She said confused. He simply smirked.
"Maybe I lied." He challenged. Red gained her composure and focused on the vampire. 'No matter.' She thought to herself. 'I can bring her back from the dead.'
She raised her hand again. He lifted Alma up by the neck and held her in front of him. "Go ahead." He dared.
'A stake. A stake." Red thought to herself. 'I need a stake.' Then she saw a broken piece of wood behind Evan and Alma and an idea formed in her head. Evan was playfully dangling Alma's body while looking at Red to see what she would do. Red simply focused on the piece of wood behind him. 'It had a sharp point... excellent.' She thought.
"You can't hurt me." Evan snidely remarked.
"I wouldn't be so confident." Red answered confidently. He looked at her confused for a moment, but quickly smirked.
"Why not?" He said thinking he held all the cards in the deck.
"Look behind you." She said. She had used her telekinetic abilities to carefully raise the pointed piece of wood from the ground and point it level at his back. She quickly sent it flying at him concentrating on his body. But he was too fast for her and quickly shielded himself with Alma's body. The make shift stake embedded itself into Alma's stomach.
"Oh sh-" Red almost swore. 'Alma's not gonna be too happy with that one.' She said and held her hand out to her side. Alma's sword quickly flew into Red's hand. Evan dropped Alma and rushed at her and she quickly dodged trying to strike him. He counteracted and rushed at her from the side, but she quickly put up a shield around herself as he bounced backwards stunned. Lots of bats surrounded him. But then the bats and Evan disappeared as he laughed evilly.
She looked over at Alma's body and quickly ran over to her. Alma still lay in a deep sleep...
"Join us..." Evan's voice rang out from the behind the wall. Lots of murmuring was heard in the background.
She bent down to Alma's body and put a shield up around her and Alma so that no one could attack them.
"Alma!" She cried. And then focused on her abilities. Couldn't she talk to the dead or haunt people's dreams?
She focused inside her mind and called to Alma.
[Alma I can talk to you whether you are dead or sleeping! Speak to me!] She demanded in her mind.
[What?] She heard Alma's voice answer in confusion. [What happened?]
Red hesitated not really wanting to tell Alma the whole story, but then proceeded away.
[Evan must have bitten you when you went to go and explore the hallway. But don't worry I can bring you back. I may not have your soul like Darkshin, but I have other methods...]
She put her hands on Alma's shoulder and hesitantly looked at the wound from the stake.
[Sorry about the stake.] She continued now focusing her energies on reviving Alma. She quickly healed it so Alma would not find any surprises when she "woke" back up. Alma probably didn't even know what she was talking about see as she was... just a little "out of it".
Alma opened her eyes alive again and looked at Red curiously. Red having used almost all her energy fell over exhausted. Alma looked at her in concern.
"No more energy..." She explained falling over. Alma put her hands on Red's chest and gave her some of her own energy. Red got up dizzily and dusted herself off.
"Thanks..." She murmured not completely rejuvenated, but not completely exhausted either.
"No problem." Alma said not completely strong yet either. Red looked at the tear in Alma's clothes from where the stake had hit her.
"Sorry about that." She said sheepishly blushing.
Alma looked down. "No problem. I've had worse."
But still Red felt guilty about it. Why hadn't she been more careful? Perhaps she shouldn't have used her telekinetic powers until she had completely perfected them. Plus Darkshin was probably gonna have a fit! What a way to prove herself!
But she didn't have time to think as Alma grabbed her arm.
"Come on. I found the door before Evan came." She pulled Red toward the hall.
Red nodded. "Lets just not get separated again, ok?"
"Ok." Alma agreed and they exchanged a high five. Red picked up Alma's sword and the music box.
"Here!" Red said giving Alma back her sword. "I had to... um... borrow this." She mumbled guiltily remembering how it wasn't much help anyway. Alma hugged her sword lovingly and Red clutched the music box. It had a nice tune and she wanted to keep it.
"I think Evan had friends." Red warned looking to the wall Evan had disappeared behind. "I heard others." She explained her encounter with Evan. Alma looked worried and led the way into the hall.
They made their way into the hall and noticed two glowing eyes in front of them...
"Uh oh..." Alma mumbled.
But the glowing eyes belonged to Ah the tiger who walked proudly up to them.
"Ah!" Alma explained and was about to run to him when Red stopped her. Alma looked at Red confused but Red pointed to the tiger who was now growing fangs. It growled and bared it's new grown teeth.
"No you, Ah!" Alma said in exasperation!
It pounced at them and they dodged out of the way. Alma grabbed her sword, but then an idea came to her.
"Wait a moment!" She thought aloud and put her sword back. Red looked at her confused. Alma ran at Ah with her arms opened wide and threw her arms around the stunned tiger. Red held her breath. But surprisingly the tiger purred. The fangs disappeared and he licked Alma happily. Alma laughed and looked at Red.
"Evil hates hugs." She explained. Red nodded and the two girls and the tiger made their way through the hall. They passed Evan's painting and Red looked at it sighing but carefully avoided the eyes of the painting.
"Now where is the door?" She asked looking around in the dark. Even though separate rays of light shone into the room from holes in the ceiling, it was still pretty dark.
"There!" Alma said pointing to some stairs that led back up to the trap door. Red looked around and didn't see anyone. But as they stepped onto the first step, Evan appeared at the top of the stairs.
"I knew it seemed to easy." Red muttered. But Alma looked at him challengingly.
"Let us pass!" Alma demanded. He smiled evilly.
"Ok." He said simply and disappeared. Red and Alma looked at the place he had just been before, blinking, unsure of what had just happened.
Alma laughed. "Let's go..." She said leading the way up the stairs.
If only it was that easy...
Evan appeared behind them with a bunch of his vampire friends. The girls jumped down ready to fight. Ah's fangs grew out as he growled.
"Bad Ah!" Red scolded. The tiger cowered and the fangs slid back in and Alma sighed in relief.
"Good Ah!" Red said patting the tiger's head.
Alma took out her sword. Red formed a force field around them as the oncoming vampires bounced backwards. Ah attacked some of the vampires.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" One of the vampires screamed as Ah's jaws locked around his foot.
"Wow!" Red exclaimed. "How does everyone know his name?"
She ducked as a vampire flew passed her. Suddenly Alma had an idea as a light bulb shone over her head. Red hit another vampire out of the way and looked over at Alma.
"Alma?" She asked as Alma poked at a vampire with her sword. "I have a feeling that you have an idea." Alma laughed and hugged a vampire. It went limp surprised as Alma dragged it into the sun light. Immediately it poofed into dust.
"I'll distract them by hugging them and bringing them into the light, while you sneak up and open the door exposing the sun light into the room!" Alma whispered to Red.
"Ok." Red agreed. "Just don't get bit this time, all right?"
"Let them try and bite me." Alma said darkly and put a choker around her neck.
Evan looked at the girls wondering what they had been talking about and rushed toward them. Alma quickly hugged him and he disappeared.
"I HATE hugs!" His voice grumbled though out the room. As Alma began her plan of hugging vampires and bringing them into the light, Red slowly made her way to the door. Blah stood at the bottom of the stairs seemingly hypnotized or something.
"My Master told me not to let you pass." He said in a monotone voice.
"Oh for goodness sakes!" Alma said frustrated and put her arms around him in a hug. He looked back surprised, but out of his trance. She went back to fighting vampires using the hug-then bring into the light technique, while Red began to sneak up to the stairs.
Finally (and uneventfully), she got to the trap door and quickly grabbed it and tried to push it open. It didn't budge.
Meanwhile Alma was fighting a vampire along side Ah who ferociously attacked one of the vampires. But then Evan appeared in front of Alma.
"I shall make you one of us!" He announced evilly. Alma narrowed her eyes.
"Try it." She dared exposing her neck toward him. But he saw the choker and glared at her.
"Vampire have other ways of fighting besides our teeth!" He smiled.
"Try it!" Alma repeated. Just then Red distracted her.
"Hey Alma! The door won't open!" She yelled downward. Just then Evan rushed at Alma and pinned her down on the ground.
"Bite me!" She said hoarsely. "I dare you!"
He chuckled evilly and his arm transformed a sharp blade...
"Wait." Red said examining the door, oblivious to the danger happening below. "There is some writing here." She announced.
"Can only be opened by music..." She read.
Evan raised his sword/hand above Alma's heart. She threw her hands up waiting for the end.
Red turned to see Alma's predicament and screamed, dropping the music box. It tumbled down the stairs and opened upside down. The music filled the room. Everyone stopped and looked over at Red including Evan.
Behind her the door slowly opened widely exposing the sun light into the room! All the vampires screamed in agony and vanished into dust. Alma coughed, still on her back.
"Come on!" Red yelled down the stairs already dancing in the sun shine outside.
Alma ran up the stairs and Ah followed. They rested outside by the trap door not saying anything, but remembering their adventure. Red slammed the door with tears in her eyes.
"Why is it always the cute ones..." She muttered. "I liked that guy, you know?" Alma looked at her sympathetically. "Until the whole killing thing..." She added.
"Yeah, like when he tried to kill us?" Alma added.
"Yeah." Red nodded. "Major turn off!"
Both girls shook their head and looked back at the trap door. Red angrily spit on it.
"I hope we never see that door again!" She said stomping on it.
"I hope no one finds it!" Alma added covering it up with dirt and grass. Ah sniffed at it.
"No Ah!" Red reprimanded. Ah backed away slowly.
"At least Ah is not evil." Alma noticed.
"What do you mean?" Red asked confused. Alma hugged Ah.
"He's in the sun light!" She explained. "And he is still alive..."
"Oh yeah!" Red said.
And they turned away from the hole with the trap door by it and walked away never looking back...
Who knows what adventures awaited them in the future...
Author's Note: There is actually more of this, but that ended the main adventure. Perhaps we will continue later when Darkshin is not in our presence. (He pretty much slays evil right away not leaving room for a long adventure...) Also if you wish to go on an adventure with me, just come onto Instant Messanger sometime, or perhaps we could try it through email. But I gotta have some time on my hands and that doesn't happen often.
Don't be mad at me Darkshin!
And thanks for letting me write this Alma! Who knew we would have such an... encounter.
