Pain suffering,
Happiness and joy.
Revolve in my mind,
Like a kaleidoscope.

All within me,
These emotions of mine.
Changing, contorting,
And confusing my life.

These feelings,
These thoughts,
I know are in you.
Swirling and twisting away.

So why do we fight it?
Protest and Complain,
That feelings of gladness
Are followed by pain

Hurt, agony,
Cheerfulness, bliss.
Revolve in our minds,
And in those of our peers.

Deep within all of us,
These emotions of mine.
Surely my life's
A kaleidoscope.
