The sky has once again,
Cast its shadow across the world.
The clouds gather above,
And from them the sheets of water are unfurled.
The wind howls, the clouds darken,
But with them comes the rain.
The soft pitter-patter,
Of someone else’s pain.
Heaven’s tears come down steadily,
Their source just out of range.
Even as I watch, a gesture of sorrow
For relief is exchanged.
The rain then begins to fade,
As all tirades must,
And I wonder if it is possible
That the skies are crying just for us.
