Be ready for a very brief and very short (bwaha, you thought I was actually put another adjective in!) pointless bit of fluff.
Review if you get the point. Or not, that would be great.
“Laura? Laura, quit reading those junk novels and get down here!”
“I’m coming, Mom!”
Laura hauled herself out of bed and slowly made her way down the stairs.
“For goodness sake, Laura, I don’t know why you persist in reading those fictitious, outlandish stories.” Laura’s mother handed her breakfast. “You’re just poisoning your mind. It isn’t healthy.”
“Okay, Mom, whatever.”
“Don’t you give me that look.”
“Yes, Mom.”
Laura sat down at the table where her younger sibling was flinging its breakfast at the walls.
“Seriously though, Laura, there are no such life forms out there. I mean, look at their body structure! Anything built like that would have to die out quickly. Padding behind the bones? Two legs?”
Laura’s mother patted her offspring with a tentacle. “Humans just aren’t real.”
“Yeah, I know, Mom.”
