Once when this moment
occured in a dream
I decided to pursue it
but I awoke and it was free.

Holding on to
the moment so tight.
I woke up with my hands clenched
and drenched with sweat and strife.

I tried to fight the
moment in my hand.
But it fled from
inside of my dream land.

Where to did this moment
flee away to be carried?
As if I just sat and watched
it float straight by my face.

Humming along
to the wind past my face.
To close my eyes
and once again be embraced.

The moment had come back
to my eyes, closed so tight.
It almost felt
like it never ran out of sight.

When I felt the moment
it's presence so deep,
that night I couldn't
bear to fall asleep.

In fear that I might
wake the next day
and redream my moment
to forget it, as I may.

Humming with the night
of the stars and the birds.
Laughing at the thought
of the moment. How absurd!
