I know trust.

It's believing in others,

It's believing a lie with hope for yourself,

deluding yourself

shedding your armor,

leaving soft flesh to be torn.

revealing all your fears,

Foolish, foolish

baring your soul,

Don't ever let your guard down.

sharing your dreams,

Your dreams will be turned against you

showing your heart,

revealing a place to be stabbed.

knowing your back is watched.

leaving yourself helpless.

Laughing without worries,

You won't hear the thrown blades that find your heart.

speaking without shame,

Spinning lost forever

seeing through the sunlight,

blinded to the darkness.

dancing in the rain.

dancing with lightning.

Because you know that if you fall,

You will be taken down,

you will be caught before you break,

left to lie bleeding and broken

and be carried gently down.

as they laugh and walk away.

Trust is hope.

Trust is death.
