Falling

The room was full of the stink smell of alcohol. A shadow lay on the messy bed and moved lazily like an earthworm. The moonlight shined into the room, and a girl with messy yellow hair sat up. She walked to the table and picked up something and put it into her mouth with a glass of alcohol. It was the weeds.

She crawled to the dresser and turned on the stereo beside it. The music played loudly and shakily. She sniffled and felt satisfied.

The drug affected on her body and brain instantly. She felt so high. She smiled to herself in the mirror. "Everyone loves me." She muttered. "I'm so pretty." She threw away a fashion magazine with a pretty model on it. as her eyes stopped on the big thick math text book, her face changed. It started to twist and she cried like a helpless baby. "Mommy doesn't love me. She hates me."

It was a dark memory, to her. Even when she was on drug, she could still remember back to those days when she was 'good'.

She yelled fiercely to a woman who stood in the front of her. "All my life! All my life, I was living in other people's expectancies, other's hopes, other's wants and blames. I never had a real life on my own! Never! Never a life for fun, never a 'no', never a 'lower than 90%', never a boyfriend!!

If rising was hard, because it was against the gravity, then falling should be easy. Following the gravity, she stopped doing homework, stopped studying for the tests, and stopped everything that could raise her from the ground. Instead, parties everyday, expensive make-ups, fancy cloths, dates, alcohol and drugs. She moved out from her mother's comfortable and protective big house. She moved into a small messy and dirty apartment with her 'boyfriend'.

She yelled like a mad dog. She threw the math textbook to the mirror crazily. She yelled and shouted out some dirty words. Finally, she calmed down.

She smiled bitterly. "Tony loves me. That's all it matters." she held the picture with a mature-looking boy in it. "He loves me. He buys me whatever I want. He buys me these happy candies. They make me happy." She smiled at the drugs on the table.

She walked to the balcony, the wind made her brain clearer. However, she wanted to vomit immediately right after being woken up. The cold November wind blew sharply on her body and face. She shivered in her short skirt the tight t-shirt. She climbed and stood on the edge of the balcony. She stood on her bare feet, and smiling. 'Cold.' She thought and suddenly lost her balance. She waved crazily and fell from the balcony of the 13th floor.

"I'm flying!!" she screamed and laughed insanely. "I'm in heaven!! Wwoooo!!!" she shouted out. The wind blew under her, everything seemed so fast. 'Cold.' She thought again. Just before her body touched the colder ground, a sad and clear thought slid through her mind suddenly:

"I am falling."
