A/N: Think of this as a medieval or old-fashioned romance. Or think of it as a broken heart speaking. It's up to you :)
**********************************

I watched you leave me far behind
I saw you wander from my side
Now in the depths of great despair
I yearn for you, my lady fair

I watched you growing up with me
Saw what you were and what could be
The gap is more than I can bear
I still need you, my lady fair

I watched the joy that came with you
I saw the joy go with you too
You're the person for whom I care
All day and night, my lady fair

I watched the story end in tears
I saw the entrance of my fears
I always hoped you would be there
Just you and me, my lady fair

I watch the parts fall into place
I see the remnants of your face
Fading away, fate chooses where
I mourn for you, my lady fair

I watch the stars in the night sky
I see the way you said goodbye
My future now I must repair
One piece missing, my lady fair

I'll watch the darkness fade away
I'll see the light of the new day
And though I know that hope is rare
I'll get over you, my lady fair
