When the Last Leaf Falls...
~ Kuri

It takes not a hurtling wind to unleaf a tree.
No - Sometimes the faintest breeze will do.
Just enough to pluck the last leaf off
and send it tumbling in a winding descent.

The last leaf of reason,
The last leaf of reserve.
Drifting further, and further
away.

That’s when you lose your mind
and the choked up tears bleed out of your heart...
Drizzling onto the ground
in an appropriate autumn rain.

Compliments, criticism, advice... anything and everything (well, ok... maybe not *everything,* but that doesn’t mean you can’t send it) is appreciated. Thank you! ~ Kuri dancing_
