Forgiven

This was a another one of my older poems, written way back in ol' 1999, the grand old 20th century, the blast from the past, and golden oldie. LoL, I have no idea what I am talking about.

Take my hand and grab me,
pull me from my hole of
lies and despair
Save me from the evil fate
I was given
when you saw me with another
man
Please take me back
into the arms of the one
I love.
Let your hands rub through my hair
rough and callused,
like men's hands are
Whisper those three words I'd
often hear,
"I love you."
It was a mistake,
I say,
Please, please, please
Take me back.
