Raining Hope

By: Midnight

Lean your head back,

Open wide,

Wait for something to happen.

Spread your arms out,

Embrace the sky,

And wait for it to happen.

The sky opens,

And the heavens tumble down.

Lay down in the grass,

And wait as it happens.

Let the rain pour down on you,

Let the sky cry tears.

Open your mouth

And drink the heavens

Drop by drop.

Smile

As your tears mingle

With the soft wet rain;

Let it wash your fears away.

Dance and sing,

Twirl your arms around you,

As the winds pick up

And take you for a ride.

Sail high on clouds,

With the rain never relenting.

Wait for something to happen.
