A/N: Dedicated to my very best friend in the world, Ilona. We had our glory days. We rocked 'em dead; you know we did. I miss you.

"The Glory Days"

By: Midnight

Cloaked figures

who roamed the night,

searching for the castle in the sky.

Goddesses.

Black, wild goddesses,

with smiling faces upturned

to the light of the harvest moon

that cast orange glow

upon their shadowed figures.

They floated on black pavement,

flitted across midnight grass,

two night stalkers,

who let the wind whisper them

from door to door.

Their faces were masked with glittering jewels

and shades of color,

shades of moonlight,

that lined and shadowed their mischievous faces.

Their laughter

echoed

echoed

echoed

through the silent night.
