Okay, my name (at least online) is Cyberwolf. Yes, I AM a girl. And yes, I do like wolves - that's why I chose the handle. 'Sides, lots of my favorite characters are connected to wolves somehow. (even if only in my mind...) I'm Filipino, very very mixed-blood. Japanese-Spanish-French-Filipion with a bit of Italian waaaay back on mom's side. I think.

This here's my muse. His name is Wolfie. Say hi to everyone, Wolfie! (thrusts out a small, black-furred wolf puppy)

Wolfie: (wriggling furiously) Leggo!

Isn't he just precious. So precious I might just sell him for his FUR if he doesn't start giving me good ideas for my stories!

Wolfie: (yips) Hey, it's not MY fault if you're too blocked to think of anything...

Perhaps you didn't read the definition of a muse. It's your JOB to give me ideas. A job, by the by, which you are not doing!

Wolfie: Muses can't run on nothing, you know! We need food! Sustenance! Reviews!

True dat. Hey, readers, didja see? Reviews are needed to feed the hungry! And believe you me, Wolfie being my muse, he's very hungry.

Wolfie: (chowing down on a bag of Cheetos twice his size) Mmmph?

Those are mine!

(scuffle ensues)

...he got away, the little thief....(grumbles)

Anyway, I'm crazy about anime and books - especially sci-fi and fantasy. Favorite series, and favorite characters, are as follows:

Gundam Wing: Heero Yuy

-he's just soooooo cool. Assassin-bish-hacker-bish-pilot-bish-soldier. And bish. Did we mention bish? What more could you ask for? I'm a huge military-fiction fan, and GWing is one of the anime series I've seen that is close to it. I love the way the political situation figures in the series. One of my fondest dreams (meaning it will never come true) is for Tom Clancy to undertake a novelization of Gundam Wing.

And all the incarnations of Wing are among THE coolest mecha designs I have ever seen.

Star Wars: Luke Skywalker and Mara Jade

-that is both my favorite pairing and my favorite characters. Luke just has so much going for him: the son of the Dark, the lone Jedi Master, and being reckless (you may not see it, especially now, but it's there) And he is so nicely brooding in Dark Empire, isn't he? And Mara - pretty much the same reason as Heero above, except take out the bish part. ^_^

Another note: I REFUSE to consider anything as canonical Star Wars except the movies, Dark Empire, and Timothy Zahn. Basically I worship the Twin Pillars of Lucas and Zahn and look disdainfully at everyone else. ESPECIALLY the NJO. That's not Star Wars, that's some meritous but still not Star Wars sci-fi series with characters and ships with the same names.

Callista is EVIL.

Kyp Durron is an ASS.

The Solo kids are no longer interesting. As I have said, I tend to think of the Solo kids only in the context of Zahn writing them. The rest of the time they're annoying little Mary-Sues and Gary-Stus.

Kevin J Anderson and his ilk are EVIL. All worship Zahn and Lucas.

The prequels DO kick ass.

I'm opinionated, anyone notice that?

Digimon: Takato and Daisuke (and Tai too, but less'n the other two Goggle Boys) and Ruki

-I like Digimon because the whole concept of monster-partners is cool - and carried off better here than in Pokemon. I like Pokemon, BTW, especially the manga series.

Takato's nice, but reckless too. I LOVE reckless. ^_^ And you gotta admit, his method of getting a Digimon is pretty original: he DREW his. No one else did that. And I love his Digimon's evolutions, all of them.

Ruki is without a doubt the most kick-ass female character in all of the Digimon series. In fact, she is contending for the most kick-ass character, period. I've never seen a Digimon like hers, BTW. It's cool from the get-go, not just in Champion mode and onwards.

I like Daisuke because he's hot-tempered, he IS a leader, and he's tenacious. I like him for the same reasons I like Taichi. Except that I like Daisuke MORE because Tai doesn't have the underdog thing going on. I'm a little perverse - I started liking my Dai-kun the MORE I saw people bash him.

And I don't, by the way, like TK. I loathed him instantly upon seeing him in the first episode of Digimon. Matt wasn't exactly endeared to me either. Neither have done ANYTHING to change my opinion since. I was okay with Kari in the first series, especially since she was Tai's sister (my then-favorite character) but in 02 she's a little...manipulative. To Dai, whom as I have stated is one of my favorite characters.

Slayers: Lina Inverse

-Why do I like her?

Reason one: she's powerful. As in POWERFUL. As in 'I-can-blow-up-the-world-so-don't-tick-me-off' powerful.

Reason two: she's hot-tempered AND a pyromaniac. I love characters who blow things up.

Reason three: She eats a lot. I just find that an endearing character trait. ^_^ Especially the way she beats everyone up for food. Hehehehe...

Reason four: She's got a realistic and sensible attitude towards money. None of this philanthropic nonsense. And she's sharp, too. I approve whole-heartedly.

Reason five: I like her character design.

Reason six: She's independent and never hesitates to take care of the situation on her own. Not like the helpless damsels who never do anything. (*cough*Yanagi*cough**cough*Akane*cough)

Oh, and I also like Zel. I like his seiyuu, I like the way he fights, and I like his attitude. And I also like Zel and Lina as a couple. ^_^

Akazukin Chacha: Riiya

-well, it's been a long time since I've seen ACC, but it shall always hold a special place in my heart.

Wolfie: What part hasn't been turned into darkness and junk-food-rotted garbage, you mean.

(gently and tenderly kicks Wolfie into the stratosphere)

It was one of the first animes I ever watched, along with Robotech and Voltron and SRatSS. And it was funny. It was as original a magic series as Harry Potter (not that anyone recognized this) and a hell of a lot more versatile.

I like Riiya for pretty much the same reasons as Lina Inverse, except take out reason one, replace it with 'he's fricking strong and quick' He isn't as smart as Lina, but I think they're pretty similar - although I don't THINK he's a pyromaniac. Can't be sure, though. ^_^ And he turns into a cute lil wolf-puppy. How can you not adore him?

Actually Wolfie looks a lot like a black version of Riiya's wolf-form. Hmmm.

Harry Potter: Harry Potter

-Actually, I didn't really get into this series at first. However, upon rereading it I swung back into the HP fandom just a few months before the movie hype began to really kick in.

I like Harry because he's made it through so much and still is a pretty cool character. People say he has no faults but he does have them and I think they serve to make his character really nicely well-rounded. And I like his physical descrip. I adore messy hair on guys, and I really like green eyes too. And his glasses are like how mine used to be. ^_^ I also like him being Seeker, and I do think he's got some major hidden power inside. I like Powerful!Harry stories.

I don't really support any particular pairing for HP. Except D/H - I most definitely DO NOT support D/H, because I think they'd be much cooler as rival/friends/brothers. I so wish Draco had been sorted into Gryffindor (or Harry into Slytherin) and they could have had the kind of rival/friendship that Reggie and Archie (bad example, but it's the best I could come up in short order)have.

The only character I dislike in HP is Ron Weasley.

The Dark is Rising: Will Stanton

-I adore this series; this is my favorite book series of ALL TIME. The way Susan Cooper writes is just so...musical. It's like listening to a symphony in words. There's a rhythm and a cant to it, it's not just narration. And the way she puts in Arthurian legend and Celtic mythology...it just all CLICKS.

And I like Will because he's a paradox: Old but young, powerful but vulnerable. And he has so much power. Time, flying, knowledge...and it's not at all cliched either.

Unlike HP, I don't DISLIKE anyone in the series.

His Dark Materials: Will Parry

-he's independent and he's trying to save his mom and he's, as I think it's said in the book, 'noble and savage and fierce and lonely'. By the way, I think Will from DiR and Will from HDM are similar in a lot of ways. If Will (DiR) had had not such a happy family life, I really think he'd turn out like Will in HDM did. You know - not openly rebellious but a loner.

I like HDM because it's got all these original, WOW-that's-cool concepts. The daemons and the angels and the Dust...actually I'm not quite sure about all the concepts yet. I have to reread it. ^_^

Have I rambled on long enough yet?

Oh, and other series I like are Detective Conan, Sherlock Holmes (both the original and that animated series - Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century) Orphen, Ranma 1/2, Flame of Recca, Kaitou Kamikaze Janeane, Tamora Pierce's books. I used to like Robert Jordan but I couldn't bear to read further once Rand turned into a jerk. I liked him in the earlier books. Book 8 just ruined it for me. -_-;; I'm an avid RPG player - PSX-type - am currently on FFX-International Edition. I've finished all the other FF games since VI, did Chrono Cross, Legend of Legaia, Thousand Arms, Xenogears, Star Ocean The Second Story.

And I guess that's it.
