Everything felt numb as his body shot downward. The water seemed to serve as only a light cushion for his downward decent. Confusion suddenly bolted through his body as he regained consciousness. He quickly shook off the plastic bag that had been wrapped around his head. As he opened his eyes to try to make sense of the situation, he realized his legs had been bound together and his hands tied behind his back. There was also something else, a large rock had been tried to one of his legs, and it was quickly pulling him down deeper into the watery abyss. With an unmistakable thud, the rock hit the water's floor. His body shortly followed.
He began to squirm and jerk himself around in an attempt to break free. All around him he saw other bodies floating lifelessly. All of them appeared to have died the same way. The site shook him to his very core. The thought of joining this underwater graveyard, the thought of dying alone, the though of dying in such agony, it was too much. He wanted it all to be a dream, he just wanted to wake up and be safe in his bed; but none of this was a dream. He was about to die.
He struggled to breathe, but he knew it was impossible. With each scream he was only releasing precious oxygen. An even more frightening thought then entered his brain, he had no idea who he was. He tried to think back, he tried to remember, but there was nothing. All of his memories, everything he had ever known was gone.
Suddenly he felt the rope attaching him to the large rock being cut. A hand reached out and grabbed his left arm and guided him to the surface. As his head breached the water's edge, the night air filled his lungs. It was a feeling like no other. He knew he had just escaped death. He then felt himself being pulled along as the person began to swim towards the lake's the shore. After about a minute, they had reached the edge of the lake. He looked up at his savior, and was shocked to see it was the most beautiful woman he could imagine. As he gazed up at her in awe at her, she dragged him over to a near by tree trunk, leaned him against it, and cut the remaining ropes that bound him.
"Are you okay Trent?" she whispered.
"Trent? Was that my name?" he thought to himself. He looked back into her deep brown eyes. He could see they housed concern. "I'm not sure, what exactly am I doing here?" he replied back, in awe at her beauty.
"What about your head? It's bleeding," she said, seeming a quite concerned.
Trent felt around his head and noticed it was extremely sore in the back, as if he had been hit by something. "Yeah, it kind of hurts. Hey, do you know by any chance what I'm doing here? I don't, I mean I can't seem to remember anything." She raised her left eyebrow and looked at him peculiarly. "I'm serious," he went on, "I don't know what I'm doing out here."
She smiled amusingly at the thought of such of an idea, showing off her lush red lips. "You really don't remember? You don't remember any of it?"
"That's right, can you please just help me out here?" Trent replied, a little annoyed she seemed to be finding the situation entertaining.
"You pissed off some pretty powerful people down at Joe's Cavern. One thing led to another, and before you knew it you were being thrown off that dock over there into this here lake. You'd of been like all the rest of Joe's enemies if it weren't for me." she replied, pointing to the wooden platform that led halfway out into the lake, "You can thank me later that I followed you here."
"Joe's Cavern?"
"Don't worry about it, I'll explain everything later. Here, come with me. You'll be fine after a good night's sleep."
She put her arm around his shoulder and gently hoisted him up. Trent smiled with appreciation and with a little more help limped about twenty feet through a wooded area before reaching a large mansion. "This is my house, you'll love it, it's huge," she joyfully said into his ear, "There's a guest bedroom in the basement you can use, I think you'll like it down there."
She then opened the backdoor and the two stepped into the house. Trent gazed up in amazement at the amount of decorations on the walls. Everywhere he looked there seemed to be pictures of different men. Men of all different shapes, sizes, and races. The house was also almost entirely lit by candlelight, which for some reason made Trent feel a little uncomfortable.
"So, uh, what is all this stuff anyway?"
"It's just a just a current phase I'm going though. Oh, here we are," she said opening the door to the basement.
Trent slowly walked down, now feeling strong enough to walk by himself. "Oh hey, I forgot to ask, what's your name?"
"It's Mary. Here, lie down, you need some rest," Mary said pointing the bed.
Trent did as he was told, lying down on the bed. He set his head back on one of the pillows and closed his eyes. "God, I feel like shit," he thought himself. He then felt Mary tenderly kiss him on his forehead. The feeling resonated, as if his body had been permanently enriched. He sat still, enjoying its lasting impression when suddenly he felt his left hand being handcuffed. He slowly sat up.
"What are you doing?" he asked, confused.
His lack of resistance would prove to be unfortunate. After cuffing the left had to the bed, Mary quickly cuffed the right hand. Smiling wickedly, she sat with one knee on either side of his stomach and devilishly looked him in the eye.
"You really don't remember any of it, do you?" she said, sounding completely amazed.
"Huh? What's going on here?"
"Don't worry, you'll know soon enough," she said, getting up off the bed, "And don't ever, and I mean ever, try to escape again. You don't want to end up like the others. You're mine now, and you always will be mine."
Trent watched as she walked up the basement stairs. Before closing the door she gave him one last look, "Sweet dreams my little love slave." The door was then pulled shut. Trent sat confused trying to figure out what had just happened, when suddenly, it all came back to him. Every single horrific detail, he could not believe he had actually willingly come back to the house with her.
