In the Window

That person in the window
Stares at me, like a child
Like she isn't good enough
For any soul in the world

With those sad, blue eyes
Locking all of her tears in
Like the Great Wall of China
Why doesn't she just cry?

That person in the window
Is nothing more, nothing less
Then a lost little girl, crying
Wailing for a mother to love

With those wide, longing eyes
Waiting for anyone to love her
For someone to care for her
She can't, and she won't

That person in the window
Wants to be like everyone else
Wants to be herself, myself
Reflections in the window
