Scene: From Carol's house to Stars All Place.

"Bye!" Carol called out to her mother as she got out of the house and headed to work. My name is Carol. Well, I am 17 and still unwed. I'm currently working at 'Stars All Place' as a salesgirl. I like to sing and dance and I'm totally into movies and poetry. Well, I'm a perfectionist who believes in love. "Which show do you want to watch Carol?" Minnie asked, eyes still fixed at the screen that rotated the time slots of the movies showing for the day." "Anything that's void of love is out of my category. Other than that, everything's okay." Carol replied matter-of-factly as she scanned the theater for any possible attraction. "What do you want to watch, Adam?" Rile asked.

"Anything that's void of love is definitely out." Carol turned immediately to see who was the one answering. How can I not see who is the guy who has the same ideal movie choice as me?

And she saw a handsome, gorgeous hunk with the most beautiful features she could only see on a prince in her dreams. "Oh, my love story's finally beginning." "Then, what about 'sensual'?" Rile asked. "I'm on." Adam answered simply. "Hey, I go get some popcorn." "Alright man." "Minnie!" Carol almost shrieked as she turned and faced her friend. "I wanna watch 'Sensual'." "Huh?" Carol asked automatically, although she was actually admiring the guy called Adam from afar. "Nah, let's go in." Minnie said as she pulled Carol along into the cinema.

They got to their seats. Minnie was simply sitting there, staring at the commercials showing while Carol was still looking for Adam. "Where's Adam?" Carol muttered under her breath as someone settled down beside her. "Where's me?" "Huh?" Carol turned and saw Adam. "Adam!" "Yeah, that's me." Adam laughed. "Hey, when did I get to know such a pretty lady?" "Oh, I'm Carol." Carol introduced herself, feeling her face blushing. "And this is my friend Minnie." Minnie turned when she heard her name being introduced. "Oh hi." With that, she turned back to the movie screen. "Is she lesbian?" Rile interrupted. "Huh?" Carol was surprised at Rile's interruption. "Er, she's not." "Well, she definitely have the potential to be one." "Well..." Carol didn't know what else to say. Calm down, Carol, in a typical love story, the leading male always have a crappy friend. "Don't care 'bout him. He's always joking around." Adam laughed. "Well, I guess you don't mind if we exchanged numbers?" "No," Carol smiled as she took out a pen from her bag. "Where do I write the number?" "What about my hand?" Adam suggested. "Good idea." "Okay then." Adam smiled. He's so cute. Carol turned and stared at the movie screen. Okay, I've got to act like I don't care about him so that he will find me desirable. This isn't how my love story should start! Okay, the first part was alright. The leading male's friend's disgusting and horny, but how can the leading male be like that too? In a typical love story, the leading female shouldn't have watched R[A] movie with the leading male at their first date! And she definitely don't have to witness a pair of despicable couple having sex in the mid of a movie in the cinema!!! Carol sat down on the bench sighed. "Hey Carol." Warren called out when he saw Carol. Isn't that voice Warren Lee's? Oh man, I'm unlucky enough already, don't tell me I've even got to deal with the underpriviledged now? "Well then, I'm going. See you around." Warren sighed and left Carol alone. Carol rolled her eyes and shook her head as she finally got Warren out of her sight.

"Warren!" Landy called out when she saw him walking into Junkers. Looking at his face, she knew he was rejected again. "What's the matter?" "Carol." Warren answered simply. "That Carol girl again?" Landy exclaimed. "Why don't you just leave her alone. She's not worth it." "No." Warren said, "It's okay just as long as I know she's fine." Warren started taking out his notebook and scribbling things. "What you're writing 'bout now?" Landy asked, feeling sympathetic. "Telling her that I'll be okay." Warren said, his voice was shaky. "Oh Warren." Landy went over and hugged him. Warren broke down in Landy's embrace.

Scene: Carol's house kitchen.

Ring...Ring... "Answer the phone, Carol!" Carol's mother called out from the bathroom. "Okay!" Carol answered as she put down the dishes and went to answer the phone. "Hello?" "Carol?" Minnie asked. "Yeah." "Where did you go just now?" "Went to the park. You couldn't expect me to watch that movie." Carol answered, ignoring the fact that she was really a little too witful. "Well, you should at least tell me. I was so worried." "Sorry. Well, I've got to go wash the dishes now. Talk later." Carol said. "Alright then." Minnie said, "Oh yah, did Adam call you?" "No." "Oh, okay. Then, we'll talk later. Bye bye." Carol hung the phone and went back to do her dishes.

"He loves me. He loves me not." Carol was trying to figure out whether Adam liked her or not. "How can the leading male not call the leading female?" Carol questioned angrily. "In a typical love story, he should have called during dinner!" Ring...Ring... "Hello?" Carol said. "May I speak to Carol?" A male voice. Adam's voice. "Speaking." Carol answered coolly, but inside, she was shouting with joy. "May I know who's on the line?" "I'm Adam." "Adam?" Carol asked. "Which one?" "Err... I wanna apologise about the movie thing." Adam answered. "I didn't know that you wanted to watch the movie because of me. I.. I.. hope you could come out for coffee. As a form of apology." He's asking me out. "Hmm... when?" "8 at Starbucks?" "I guess I'm gonna be free then. Okay, see you there." Carol hung the phone immediately. He asked me out.

Carol started pulling out clothes from her closet, trying to choose the best one for the date. The leading male finally called the leading female after much fight with the deadly dragon.

Carol arrived 10 minutes earlier. But in order to fulfill the plot of a typical love story, she went to hide behind a wall so that the leading male could arrive earlier than the leading female. "Where is Adam?" Carol asked impatiently, looking around for possible sight of the leading male. Adam arrived from the other side of the mall and saw Carol's every action. Curious about why she was hiding, he went up to her from behind. "Hey Carol." Adam called out as he tapped her shoulder once. "Huh?" Carol turned and faced Adam. Oh god, did he see me doing all those things? "Oh hi, Adam." "Hi, so are we still going to Starbucks?" Adam asked, smiling. "Yeah of course." Carol smiled back. Adam grinned and signalled for her to walk first. Carol did as she was told. In a typical love story, the leading male always wait for the leading female.

Scene: Bus-stop.

"So where do you feel like going now?" Adam asked Carol. "I don't know." Carol answered, feeling really light-headed. "But I'm definitely not going home so early." That gave Adam an idea. "Why not come to my house?" Adam asked, grinning. "We could spend some time together." Carol looked at Adam and smiled. "I don't mind." And so they went to Adam's house together.

Scene: Adam's house.

Adam and Carol started kissing the moment they entered the house. "Oh Carol, I love you so much." Adam whispered as he started caressing Carol's thigh. "Adam." Carol said, pushing his hand away. "Not there." "Why?" Adam asked, forcing Carol's hand away. "I love you."

"Adam!" Carol said, this time a little more forceful. She pushed his hand away and accidentally knocked something onto the ground. She freed herself from Adam's embrace and looked at what had fallen to the ground. It was a condom.

"What is that?" Carol asked Adam, wanting a full explanation from him. "A condom." Adam said. "You don't use those when you have sex?" "Are you crazy, Adam?" Carol said, fuming. "Do you think I'm going to have sex with you?" "Yah?" Adam answered matter-of-factly. "Then why are you here for? Watch Snow White on Cartoon Network?" "You're... disgusting." Carol snapped as she got up and left Adam's house.

Carol started strolling down the streets alone. Her pace was very slow. In a typical love story, the leading male never forces the leading female to have sex with him. "This isn't my love story." Carol said, as she started to cry. She sat at the lonely bus-stop and cried. Just then, Warren was nearby and saw Carol sitting alone at the bus- stop. He decided to approach her.

"Hey." Warren said as he sat down beside her. Carol looked up at Warren. This time, she didn't felt angry to see him. In fact, she was reliefed to see him. "Use this." Warren handed her his handkerchief. "You know, I'll always be here. So~" "Huh~" Carol started crying even louder as she lay on Warren's shoulder and cried.

And they sat there, just like that. Till the next morning.

Warren went back to Junkers. "What's with the smiley face today, huh?" Landy asked, smiling. She was happy to see Warren smiling. He hadn't been smiling for a long time already. Warren didn't say anything, he just did his things and smiled all the way.

Carol was so radiant when she got home. "Mum! I'm home!" "Where did~" "I'm going up." Carol kissed her mother on the cheek and then she skipped her way back into her room. Today, everything's going to be alright.

"Good morning Mrs Leale!" Carol greeted her boss as she went into the locker room to put her things in the locker. "Finally, you're early." "Thank you." Carol smiled at her boss. Just then, Warren came into the shop. "Hey." Warren greeted her. "Hey." Carol smiled back. "Why are you here?" "Er.. I've got a couple of tickets to the movie 'Love' and I'm thinking~" "I'll be there." Carol smiled. "Oh okay." Warren smiled. "So, here's the ticket. See you there." He turned and left the shop.

Warren arrived early at the theater. He didn't want Carol to wait for him.

Carol was on the way to the movie theater when she saw Minnie. "Hey Minnie!" Carol went over. "Why you're here?" "Err.. Oh Carol. How coincidental." Minnie smiled uneasily. "What's the matter?" Carol asked, concerned about her friend. "Nothing." Minnie lied. "Hey Minnie. I've got the tickets ready already." Adam came over and slid his hand around Minnie's waist. Carol was stunned by the scene. She felt herself fuming as she tried to control her breathing. "Carol, I can explain." Minnie said. "Forget it." Carol said, turned and walked away. Just then, Warren saw Carol walked pass him. "Hey Carol!" Warren went over to her. "I bought popcorn already." "Get lost, Warren!" Carol snapped and pushed his popcorn to the ground. With that, she walked out of the theater.

Carol went back to the park and sat on the bench and cried. In a typical love story, the leading male never go with the leading female's best friend.

"Why is everything not coming my way!!!" Carol screamed as tears streamed down her cheeks uncontrollably. Just then, Warren had appeared again. He went and sat beside Carol. At that moment, Carol realised that she had hurt Warren. She turned and looked at Warren. "I'm sorry." Warren smiled softly and said, "It's okay. As long as you're fine. I'll be okay." Carol sat there silently. She didn't know what else to say.

"Warren, can you tell me truthfully. Am I a lousy person?" Carol asked. "No!" Warren replied, "you are the most wonderful person I've ever met in my life." "Really?" "Yes. Ever since the first time I saw you giving your candy bar to the old lady at Christmas because she was cold and hungry. I knew, you were the most wonderful person in this whole world." Carol grinned. "Warren, I was 12 at that time." "So what?" Warren said. "When you feel a person with your heart. It is forever." Carol felt a surge of warmth rushing over her. "That's so sweet."

Carol looked at her watch. It was quite late. "Hey, I guess I'll have to go now. Mum's gonna get me grounded if I'm not home." "Okay. See you around." Warren said. Carol nodded, turned and left. Just as she walked across the street, a car came and knocked her down.

Carol was sent to the hospital immediately. Her mother came and was told that she had brain concussion and she may lose her sight.

Warren came to visit Carol every single day. Sometimes, bringing in some roses, and sometimes lilies. He talked to her every day, hoping that somehow, she would hear his words and wake up. Finally, after two months, she woke up.

"Where am I?" Carol asked. "You're at the hospital." Warren replied, holding her hand. "Where am I?" Carol asked agitated. "How come I can't see a thing?" "Mum? Doctor!" Carol screamed. She was totally out of control. "Carol, calm down." Warren tried to calm Carol, but it was useless. Just then, the doctor and nurses came in a gave her a shot to stablise her emotion.

"The doctor say it may take quite a while for me to see again." Carol said, sighing. "Don't worry, Carol. You'll be able to see again." Warren assured her. "Let's hope so." Carol said. "Warren, can you do me a favour?" "Yeah, sure." Warren said. "Teach me how to feel with my heart."

Warren and Carol spent a lot of time together. Warren taught Carol how to feel with her heart. Carol learnt to feel things and no longer see things with her naked eye. Warren let Carol feel a little kitten, letting her understand that as long as her heart isn't closed. She can always see. Carol began to realise and feel Warren's love for her. And for the first time in her life, she found her love. She'd always thought that love was supposed to be perfect. In a typical love story, the leading male don't always have to be the most goodlooking guy in the world. But most importantly is that, he had to be the most wonderful person in my heart. Warren taught me something special and sacred. He showed me my heart. He showed me... Love.

A few weeks later, the doctor confirmed that Carol was not going to see forever. Carol was devastated. But Warren never lost hope. He made plans with the doctor and Carol's mother and decided to give her his eyes. The operation took place. And he left.

Carol wanted to know why she could see. And then she found out, Warren had gave his eyes. She cried when she realised how much he loved her.

Carol went to Junkers to look for Warren. "May I know if Warren works here?" Carol asked Landy when she saw a lady sitting at the counter. "You are?" Landy asked. "Carol." Carol replied. "Oh, so you are Carol." Landy said. "He left." "Can you tell me where he went?" Carol pressed. She needed to find Warren. "Who knows where he will go. He now just a blind man." Landy said.

Carol broke down in Junkers as she felt to ground and cried. "Warren! If you are here, please hear this! One year later on this day, we'll meet at the Sunplaza park. You better come!" While she was saying this, she never realised that Warren actually hid in the backroom, hearing every single word she said to Landy. But he didn't come out. He could only hide behind the door and cry with her.

A year gone by. But Carol never saw Warren again. And like what Carol had said, she came and sat at the bench she had sat with Warren before. She waited there patiently, knowing that he will come back. But time crept by very slowly and then, night came. She began to feel disappointed and she felt her heart sank. Just then, a soft breeze started blowing.

Snow started falling. She looked up at the sky to see if she was dreaming. But it wasn't a dream. Just then, someone came and sat beside her and took her hand in his. She sighed as she felt a sense of relief rushing over her. She didn't looked at the person who took her hand because she felt him. She learnt before. When you feel a person with your heart. It is forever.
