Innocence

Run through the meadows

With flowers in your hair

Cherish the moments you're there

And sing a song with a false tone

Shallow the snowflakes on your tougue

Feel the breeze on your face

Let the sun shine in a lace

And jump in the autumn leaves

Bundle up in blankets

And play pretend

With imaginary creatures in the den

Eat your food with your hands

Steal the cookies from the jar

Which have been placed oh so far

And never forget the number one rule

Have fun no matter what

Whether it's your hair you cut

Or the tune you sing

Finish your performance with a Bing!

Childlike in everyway

Glowing faces here and there

We're truly those who'll never share

But innocence, that's our game

We haven't got anything to shame

The childlike innocence of imagination

Stays with us forever and always

Even through those rotten days

Or the bright sunshine ways
