Embracing the Snake

By The Great Red Dragon

Feeling the massive coils,

Wrapping around you

They're so much stronger,

Than you could ever be

If he be your enemy,

You shall die within seconds

If he be your friend,

You have found the perfect protector

Lay your head back,

Close your eyes

No need to be afraid,

It will never hurt

The flick in your ear,

Is his sharp yet gentle tongue

The drill in your head are his eyes,

He can't close them

Do you feel him yet,

Hugging you closely

Is it,

With great, warm affection

Or is it,

With the thirst of death

His skin is different,

Rough yet smooth

His body is different,

Limb-less yet very touching

Don't sweat,

Don't be afraid

His gentle hiss,

Is a sign of love

The tightening in your waist,

Is his way of cuddling

It doesn't pain you,

Not long or too much

Yes,

He wants your hand to rest there

For although you don't know it,

Snakes want to be loved as well

So don't scream,

It will upset him

Don't squirm,

It will worry him of your safety

Just go to sleep,

And dream peacefully

For you have great, loving, and willing protector,

Watching over you
