I watched the bug. It had wings but it wasnt flying. It was climbing. It was trying to climb a window. It started at the bottom and walked up.
I found it interesting that it could walk vertically.
But it couldn't. It fell.
For a half an hour or so I watched it try again. It would climb to about half the window then fall again. Sometimes it would be almost to the top and then fall.
What will it do if it eventually does get there?
It fell again. Poor bug. Imagine if my life were like that, constantly trying to do something it is just impossible to do.
Does it even remember why it wanted to get to the top in the first place?
It fell is nothing at the top. There is absolutely nothing there.
What if the bug thinks there is something there? How disappointed will it be when it finds there is nothing?
It fell again. This time it got annoyed, and made my watching a little bit more interesting too. It started to jump histerically. Did it give up on climbing, now it's gonna jump to the top? It can't fly. Its wings are not strong enough to lift its own weight.
How did it get here if it can't fly?
It fell again. I wonder how long it can keep doing this and start to get the feeling that the moment I stop watching, if I look back it won't be there anymore.
Is it only doing this because it knows I am watching?
Sure enough. I looked somewhere else and looked back at the window five minutes later. My bug wasn't there anymore.
Gone to climb another window.
