A woman lounged lazily on a deck chair, listening to the sea brush on the shore, she rested one hand on her stomach which bulged like a beautiful bubble, she was pregnant; the other, she allowed to dangle beside her, she smiled as she felt the warm sand slip between her fingers.

She felt a soft kiss planted on her forehead and opened her eyes to see her husband beaming above her,

‘Hi, Anna.’ he said, handing her an ice-cool Shirley Temple. The woman stretched and brought herself up to sitting position,

‘Hi John.’ she sipped her drink slowly.

‘What are you doing the rest of the afternoon?’ John asked. Anna sank back into her chair letting a smile pass across her lips,

‘Absolutely nothing.’ she replied. John laughed as he looked down lovingly upon his wife.

‘I think I’ll help you.’ he said, leaning over and kissing her. Anna looped her arms around his neck as she listened to the palms rustle in the gentle breeze and felt the warmth of his body against hers, letting complete contentment wash over her like the sea over the sand.

She had finally found where she belonged.
