Author:

Christmas has become very commercialized over time. I use relgious examples to make my point, even though I'm not religious. But there are more important things than presents. Review, if you want.

There's no baby Jesus,
There's only a tree, and
A blank empty manger
Where the baby should be.
The presents are all wrapped
Yet Mary still stares, so
Hurt and so anguished
Because he is not there.
The Christmas lights are on
And everything's bright, but
Joseph keeps on watching -
The babe should come tonight.
The tree shines and glistens,
The star leads the way, but
The three kings will not come
If there's no babe today.
He's packed up and misplaced,
Forgotten and forlorn,
And once again greed rules
Over family Christmas morn.
