"Darkness Envelops"

Darkness envelops

the Shadowed façade

of reality-

Sealing fate of

chosen addressees-

Certain immortality

becomes the

Shards of eternity-

Shattered expectations

harden into

Dreams of darkness.

Author's Note: This is my original poem but it was inspired by the poetry of Emily Dickinson. If you've never read her poetry I highly recommend it. It may seem extremely cryptic at first but after a while you start to understand her on an entirely different level. Don't hesitate to read poetry over again, each time you do you discover something new about it. A review would be appreciated.
