It's the. sob. last chapter. Wahhhhh! Okay, enough crying. You still
haven't read it yet (unless you read this bit last) so it's all good right.
Right? I'm so sorry, and sad to be finishing, but it's not over yet. You
have a whole 'nother part to look forward to, not sure what it'll be called
yet, but hey, I will do.
Also, I don't know what happened to the last chapter, but for some reason,
it won't upload. If, by the time I post this, it hasn't been uploaded, you
can find it posted on my deadjournal at the address posted in the review
section by the author, me.
You can even leave a review. Also, anyone who proposed to write any extra
bits, either changing what happened, or going into more detail on whatever
part, if you email them to me, I'll post them up here, giving you credit of
course, so that they can all be together. This also applies to Rubbing Skin
Raw (remember Seritroe? Bless) You can even follow up other people's follow-
ups. Hooray!
Last chapter, frightened by Ricki's confession of love, Illkitt returned to
his old habits and Ricki realised that Illkitt would never be able to have
a healthy relationship. Is this the end?
Dedicated to: Every single person who's reviewed, for staying with me this
long and giving me the encouragement to keep going, even when I lost the
thread. Thank you!
Warning: Dodgy bus activities, sad parting.

Chapter Thirteen
That was the last that Ricki saw of Illkitt D'marge; short, gay, abused and mentally damaged masochist with the delinquent attitude and vandalised hazel stare. Well, the last he saw of him at school anyway.
In fact, he didn't see anything of his former lover until after the term had ended. He passed his exams with decent grades and was well no his way to University.
It was strange that he next saw Illkitt on a bus. He was travelling back from the pub when he heard a familiar animal-like sound coming from behind him. He turned to see Illkitt sitting back in the seat, after rising from the floor where he had apparently been servicing his latest boyfriend. Or so Ricki assumed it was his boyfriend, as the other guy put an arm casually around Illkitt's shoulders and kissed him quickly.
He looked up to see Ricki staring and said, audibly, "What the hell's your problem?"
Illkitt looked up as well and his gaze caught Ricki's. He patted his 'friend' on the knee in a settling way.
"S'okay Baz, this is an old friend of mine. Ricki. Ricki, this is Baz."
Ricki nodded once, curtly at Baz, but never stopped looking at Illkitt. He looked different. Smaller, tired and older. Thinner as well. His eye was sporting a beautiful shiner and there was a healing cut across the same eye, but apart from that, his expression was the same as it had always been.
"Illkitt. Long time no see. What have you been doing with yourself?" Ricki was proud of the way that his voice stayed steady, that he could have been any other causal acquaintance, as opposed to someone talking to a boy he was still in love with, sitting right there, with someone else's arm around him.
"I've been okay." Illkitt was as vocal as ever. "I moved out from my dad's."
"Really? That's great. Where are you staying now?" This really was good news. Ricki had worried that he'd read in the papers one day that a local dad had throttled his son to death. Maybe Illkitt could get over some issues now.
Baz squeezed Illkitt round the shoulders and gave Ricki a territorial smile. Or he showed all his teeth at least.
"He's staying with me now, aren't you doll."
Illkitt nodded, but Ricki saw the irritation in there, and knew that he wouldn't be staying with Baz long.
The bus went over a hill in the road and Ricki realised that he'd gone past his stop. He pressed the bell and stood up.
"Well, there goes my stop. I'll see you around Baz. Illkitt."
They stared at each other, and Baz looked between both of them, sure that something had happened between these two, but not wanting to say anything. It was in the past anyway. This Ricki hadn't said anything about Illkitt's face, so he must know that Illkitt liked being hurt. As long as he stayed away from his diminutive boyfriend they'd get along fine.
He couldn't help but feel excluded though. Illkitt had never looked at hm that way.
"If you wanna, I dunno, catch up sometime, you know where my house is. I'll leave forwarding details with my mum when I move out."
"Okay." Illkitt replied, and Ricki knew that he wouldn't be getting any spontaneous visits from Illkitt.
"See you round then."
"Yea. See you round."
And with that, Ricki got off the bus.
.................................. It's over. Is it crap? Do you hate the ending? Anyway, the next time we see Ricki, he'll be in University. Woohoo! Here comes student life!
