*If Only You Could, Maybe You Would*

I wonder the streets,
The traffic is light.
I see you waiting,
My chest gets tight.

If only you could see,
Maybe you would be sad.

My throat closes up,
I stare into your eyes.
How could I love you?
You and all your lies?

If only you could hear,
Maybe you'd listen to me.

My heart aches,
And yours is clay.
How could you use me?
Then throw me away?

If only you could feel,
Maybe you'd be in pain.

Your mind is twisted,
I see it through you.
You just used me to get laid.
How could I let you?

If only you could know,
Maybe you would care.

If only you could see my sorrows -
If only you could hear my cry -
If only you could feel my pain -
If only you could know my life….

If only you could,
Maybe you would.

But since you don't,
Just go away.
Let me live -
My life, my way.

If only you would leave,
Maybe I could live….
