~* Lone Seagull *~

Standing on the cold, wet roof opposite

A light dusting of grey on baby feathers

Just hopping around

Calling out to far-gone parents

Ignored by the laughing crows

Going down the roof

Stretching grey wings out

The seagull is bigger

Than either parents which are not in sight

Taking flight

A full circle around the roof

Then landing gracefully

Only to fly up high again

Ignoring the waves of rain

Blinking blindly as a ray of sunlight passes

Further over

Followed by the rain

Then flying gracefully away

To the sea of rain
~* axy *~
