Chemical warfare is a threat most people don’t like to think about. It's a faceless enemy, one with no heart and soul, devouring man, woman and child without prejudice. A new chemical weapon has been created and now rests in the hands of a man bent on the destruction of every man, woman and child on the face of the earth. The threat is very real.

Yakutsk in the Eastern Siberian region of Russia is now devoid of life. A once thriving city of about 191, 000 people now lies quiet and defeated. Mbandaka home to about 200,000 people, Capital of the Equatorial province of the Congo Region in the heart of Africa is now silent as well. A once teeming community lies desolate and dead. Two populaces living under two extreme weather conditions virtually eradicated off the face of the globe.

What do these have in common?

One enemy that has devised a chemical weapon impervious to extreme hot or cold climates. That man is Eric Ballantine. His CIA file CodeName is Icarus. A once top secret operative with Interpol now takes his money from the men willing to do anything to achieve world domination. Ballantine uses this money and these power lords to his own satisfaction and then discards them like he does the innocent men, women and children who are nothing more than testing grounds for his new chemical monster.

Sheldon and Caleb have to stop him at any cost realizing that once this chemical weapon is unleashed into the black-market there will be no place on Earth left to hide that is safe from this chemical killer. They have to use any and all means to make sure Icarus's wings are clipped before he is able to leave the Earth, for unlike his CodeName, this Icarus has no intentions to actually reach the sun.

Will they be able to stop Icarus in time? Will Washington be the next target to be wiped off the map? Will Sheldon and Caleb be able to put aside growing romantic feelings to do what it takes? Or will Icarus really fly to achieve his purpose?
