This caused my English teacher to doubt my sanity. It was for an English project. Just before this, I accidentally got blue stain on my fingers and we had to do simile creations in English class. This is just damned strange.
The soft glow that enveloped me was as blue as the biological stain marking my fingers. It was the most penetrating, absolute blue I’d ever seen. As I looked about, disembodied, the blue faded, becoming as pale as a freaked-out invalid. A tinge of blue still lingered, a pastel so subtle it almost wasn’t there. For some reason, none of this was odd or out of place; a sense of peace was instilled here. In the words of my friend Sarah, it was if I had “blissed out”. Somehow traveling through this world of the mind, I looked at the delicate swirls in the color around me.
The blue began to fade, and the room around me turned to an ivory color, a cooling sensation joined the peace and lulled me, the only entity in sight. The ivory landscape brought with it a very odd feeling of dampness. I was feeling kind of confused, wandering in a barren wasteland that managed to feel so comfortable at the same time.
I woke up to my mother shaking my shoulder as I pulled my face out of my cereal bowl.
“Wake UP!! You’re going to be late for school!” She flicked a Fruit Loop off my face and handed me a napkin.
I knew it was too good to be true.
Ok, the ordeal is over. Review! What’s the diagnosis? Am I beyond help?
