Cold steel grip
I fought hard to bring him here
Early as he was
We waited long in lines of pain
No reason just because
Now I see him small and weak
But breathing on his own
His tiny hand my finger did seek
And his sought for mine
I stood over his tiny box
An insignificant speck
yet desperate to become more
as my tears began to drip
I loving promised never to release
his cold steel grip
