He Still Calls Her Baby

Sometimes he calls and sometimes he drops by.
Sometimes they talk and sometimes they just cry.
They sit in silence and reminiss days gone past,
those were the good times, why did they not last?
So much has changed now, some time has gone by,
memories are fading and they don't know why.
They've got their own lives now, to each his own.
When they're together, no emotion is shown.
But he still calls her 'baby' and he'd give his life for her.
He thought they'd get back together, but now he's not so sure.
So he just holds on as best he can, and hope someday he'll be her man.
He was before but now he's not. He'd kill to have another shot.
But this isn't a game and this isnt for fun.
He should've learned this when he first begun.
Real hearts get broken in the game of life,
and peopls feelings get hurt.
And he still calls her 'baby', reguardless of the past.
They did all they could to possibly make it last.
It didn't work, it must not have been meant to be.,
but he still calls me 'baby', and he'd give his life for me.
