CHAPTER 1 ~~~~~~~~~~~~
She was beautiful, gorgeous in fact. Not that she ever let anyone see. Her beautiful figure and was always hidden behind loose fitting clothing, her thick and slightly curly waist length chestnut brown hair cover with hats. Her eyes, perhaps the most intriguing part of her flawless features, were unique in there coloring. They were rich emerald green with flecks of gold highlighting them. They were so intense that you could look into them for hours letting your self-drift further and further away from reality as you loose yourself in the depths. In fact the only part of her that she wasn't trying to hide were her lips, which were always painted in blood red lipstick. She kept to herself, there were things about her others just wouldn't understand. Things she could do. Things that weren't normal for humans.

I pulled up in the parking lot and got out of the car grabbing my bag, before heading though the gates. Another gruelling year at university, with heavy workloads and barley enough sleep. True be told, I loved the university. It was and old castle that they rebuilt and made into and university. I was studying art -specialising in photography- and medieval history. The latter not the most usefully of subjects, for gaining a job, but I enjoy it. I headed over to the sleeping quarters. I walked though the security doors and over to the front desk, collecting my key before heading up to my room. Like the year before I had requested a room to myself, it cost a little extra but I was willing to pay the price if it meant some privacy. I dumped my stuff in my room and looked around a bit, the room was practically the same. It had a small bathroom, a mini kitchen, a small lounge room and a bedroom. As I hadn't been shopping yet I decided I to grab some lunch down at the cafeteria. On my way down the stairs I pulled my slightly curly hair back into a low ponytail seeing as I was without my hat and placed the hood of my jumper over my head. I only had to wait in line for a few minutes before I got served and headed to the farthest table in the room. Finding comfort in my normal routine, I at my lunch quietly. Considering there was still 3 days until school started there were already a lot of people here moving into their new rooms, they normally didn't start arriving till the day before. Finishing my meal I decided to go to the gym and workout a little. No one would be there yet and the library didn't open for another day or two. I took off my jumper so I was still wearing my sightly bag pants and Singlet top, as now one was here to see me. The gym was deserted. I walked over to my locker and opened it up, taking out my sword, that was another thing I liked about this school, it was still open minded about sports lots of schools had long for gotten, Like swordsmanship for instance. Fighting with a sword was one of my few passions; I found it more of an art than a sport, I was also quiet good at it. I drew it out of its sheath, and took my position on the floor, standing with my blade in front of me. Then started to go though my moves, pausing slightly between each sequence. After a while I had started to work up a bit of a sweat my hair had long since fallen out and was falling freely behind me. I was in one of my turning attacks when I felt my blade connect with another. Startled I looked up at the person who had interrupt me. "Not bad" the man said approvingly. I looked at him cautiously realising that my waist upwards wasn't being hidden behind baggy clothing. "Who are you?" I said warily. Lowering my sword and taking a step back from him. "Jared Kendron, and you are?" "Aurora" I said replacing my blade back into its sheath and putting my jumper back on. "Aurora who?" "Just Aurora" "Ok, just Aurora. So how come you hide yourself behind such baggy clothes when you are obviously a very pretty girl?" I kept walking not wanting to engage myself in a conversation with some stranger. "Vandowski!" he yelled. I stopped in my tracks and slowly turned around. "How did you." I trailed off. He was no longer there I turned around again and began to walk off slowly. That was strange he knew my name, how did he know that. "I know a lot of things" I jumped at the sudden sound, I looked up and saw him standing I the doorway. "Well if you knew then why did you ask?" "I wasn't completely sure" I rolled my eyes before pushing past him. "You never answered my question" "If you're so smart you'll figure it out," I yelled back before heading back of to my dorm.
