Just One Hand – No One Sees

I am lost in the sorrow

Of hatred and love

While I struggle to live

Within a life of joy

Where people love me

For who I am

And people hate me

For who I am not

I do not ask for my life

But I would not give it away

Do the sorrows outweigh the love?

Or do I look to far into darkness?

I am lost where no one helps me

Though they try to lend a hand

Why do I not grasp it?

What lies where it cannot be found?

I want to love again like that

And just to hold a hand

But there is no hand of love

Only friendship and smiles

Just one hand and I would be free

But no one sees
