Before we begin...

This story is a sequel to "Harper of Glory Forerunning." You should definitely read that one first. However, it doesn't begin immdiately afterward, but skips some decades.

Some pronunciation of main characters' names, if you'd like to know how they're said in their native language:

Herran (Hayr-RAYN). Means "eloquence."
Chemilli (Cheh-MILL-lee). Means "to cut like light."
Quirrin (KEER-reen). Means "complexity of soul."
Liant (LEE-aynt). Meaning unknown.
Helena (Hehl-EHN-ah). Means "ornament of ice."
Daemon (DAY-mohn). Means "they [the stars] are gracious."
Keesa (KEE-sah). Means "to flare."
Rai (RAY). Means "heart."
Tandra (TAYN-drah). Means "desired child."
Keren (Usually said "KAYR-ehn," but pronunication has been modified to "CUR-an," with the last syllable having the same a sound as "hat.") Means "joy."
Echelli (Eh-CHAY-lee). Means "battle-light."

This is one of my longer novels. I'll try to do a chapter part a day, but it's going to take a while still.

This is the one novel I've written with a title that I can remember swiping from a specific place. I was taking a Milton class at the time I wrote the "Rowansglory," and I was on the prowl for good titles with "Glory" in them. Then I ran across these lines in "Paradise Lost":

"Found worthiest to be so by being good,
Far more than great or high; because in thee
Love hath abounded more than glory abounds..."

So, if there's any resemblance there, it's purely intentional. (The title, not the plot. I find it hard to imagine something more unlike this story than "Paradise Lost").

Also, since this was written a while ago, my style here is more turgid. Sorry if it's heavy going. This is 'high' fantasy in some rather obvious ways.
