Yesterday lingers too long,

Curling lazily around the door.

Today exhausts its stay,

Clinging tightly to you.

And your ink-stained hands itch with anticipation

For a new tale.

Each day we start anew,

So wipe your tablet,

And hope that tomorrow

Shall bring you wings

And all your wildest dreams,

Within your reach.

If you lost all that is yours yesterday,

And failed today,

Kill not the bird within

Your soul,

And wait for the dawn to come.
