The group never went into space again for as long as they lived. They received many visitors through their high school and university years. Ace visited them and gave them jewelry made from the Nardol's yellow rock. It wasn't the most beautiful jewelry the group had seen, but they graciously accepted. Ace returned a few more times and soon he stopped coming. News finally reached Earth that he had died. Pirates had boarded his ship and killed him when he refused to give up his precious cargo.

Maralane came to visit bearing bad news also. Dankeral had died in the last battle. The civil wars were over on her planet and life was once again normal for the citizens. Mara only came once but sent messages now and then to let the group know how the treaties were holding up. Everything was fine and they would soon be allowed into the Rebellion.

Altama sent messages for years to come. All full of apologies that she didn't have enough money to visit. About seven years after they rescued her, she showed up at Zoe's door. She had made it big through the restaurant business. Joe had died soon after the group left and had left the whole business to his beloved employee, Altama. The business struggled for a while, but picked up and was now thriving.

A few months after the groups return home they received an apology from Admiral Narroc himself. It was later burned by a laughing Adam while Brantil, the messenger, giggled to himself. Brantil visited every year until he retired early to live on Maxal. A 'beautiful' planet, according to his messages, which he sent every so often.

The groups parents never grounded them and forgave them soon after they returned, though they never forgave themselves. Zoe's mom and dad remarried and her father never drank again. He also never hurt her or her mother again. Brian graduated from high school and went on the university to his parents amazement. He went into mechanics because of his background. Most of which was repairing Ace's ship. Caitlyn was married with two kids who loved to hear their mother talk about 'back in the day.' Scott kept on hacking though he knew everything that was going on. Brooke and Zoe never married and both kept quiet lives. Adam slowly matured and got past his sarcastic tendencies quite nicely. The group met with each other every so often to reminisce and listen to messages from friends from a time passed.

For a year after they came home they got interviews and invites to talk shows which they all accepted. The money from those and the shuttle allowed them to live without working for years even though most did. Where ever they went they were recognized as the runaways. They couldn't escape their past.
