--Hypocrite--

If I was the subject of disapproval,

Would you stay and help me?

If I was stuck here on the ground,

Would you lift me and fly with me?

If I was the object of ridicule,

Would you still be there, standing with me?

If you could go to Heaven alone,

Would you rather stay down here with me?

If I was alone in facing the world,

Would you stay and fight with me?

Everything's against me

I'm not gonna stop

Everyone's against me

Will you leave me to rot?

Everything's against me

Will I ever be caught?

Everyone's against me

It's what I get for trusting the lot

Everything's against me

Are you there or not?

Everyone's against me

Do you now love me naught?

I'm not asking for a sacrifice

I'm not begging for a sign of submission

I just want to know if you're a hypocrite;

When you said you'd always love me

And take me, hand in hand,

Down the path and to the light

And stay with me, and fight for me.

Were you lying all over again?
