I Don't Care

I don't care if you treat me
Like an empty coco cola can

I don't care if you treat me
Like the leftovers from last night's party

I don't care if you treat me
Like the dried up fountain pen

I don't care if you treat me
Like the battery that has no more energy

I don't care if you treat me
Like a library book with torn pages

I don't care if you treat me
Like a tangled piece of old yarn

I don't care if you treat me
Like a stray dog unworthy to be fed.

I don't care if you treat me
Like the severed leg from an old toy

I don't care if you treat me
Like that broken vodka bottle

I don't care if you treat me
Like the tyre which has no more friction

I don't care if you treat me
Like a car engine which is choked

I don't care if you treat me
Like the letter you forgot to send.

But I do care
If you treat me like I really mattered

Then suddenly pretend I didn't exist.

A/N: So much for the repetation of "I don't care".
