One Day

One day broken lives will heal,
And shattered visions become real.

Foes will reunite as friends,
And all hurt will slowly mend.

Someday lost keys will be found,
While laughter is a familiar sound.

Fabricated lies will be torn apart,
So we can truly see with our hearts.

One day enemies will cease to fight,
Somehow things will turn out right.

Come a day there will be no tears,
Eventually man shall know no fears.

The blind will regain their sight,
and darkness will turn to light.

Never a mere thought, hope is always here,
Then the dreams we hold dear will surely draw near.

The love that passed will surely last,
With trust, desolate memories will be cast.

Waiting and praying,
For that special day is nearing.

One day, just one day,
It will find its way.

I wrote this for my aunt before she left for Canada. She read itand she cried. It probably wasn't because of my writing.
