Caged In

I looked from one to the other they were practically identical. They had the same dark brown almost black hair, stood the same height, the sculptures of there faces identical, the same strong athletic looking build. The only noticeable differences between them were in there eyes. Hayden's eyes were dark brown almost matching his hair, where as Caleb's eyes were midnight blue. They were the type of eyes you could lose your self in, as they seemed to go on endlessly. The room was silent as I continued to look back and forth between them.

"You weren't kidding when you said you were twins!" I said facing Caleb again "you guys are practically a clone of each other!" he wasn't looking at me though, in fact I doubt he heard a word I said, his eyes were locked with Hayden's as if the were having the own silent conversation that nobody else could here.

"So finally decided to come out of hiding" I jumped at the sound of his voice, it was sharp, crisp and sliced though the silence hanging in the room like a cold knife. I tried to squirm my way out of his arms while he seemed distracted by Caleb, reaching down his leg I found a flick knife he kept in his boot I pushed my self away from him with as much force as I could gather and turned flicking the blade out so it came with in inches of his face.

"Who dealing the cards now?" he seemed shocked at my sudden change of state and aggression towards him.

"Lexie what are you doing? It's me"

"I don't think so Hayden. She knows who you are, what you like...you won't make her sway" I hadn't taken my eyes of his, emotions raced though them not all making it to his face before leaving again. Finally he chose anger.

"Lets even the odds then" I spun around and looked towards the voice that had come from the doorway. "Hayden may not make her sway, he may not even bring her down. But I'm what her fear resides in. I CAN make her sway and I WILL bring her down" he smiled at me evilly before looking at Hayden, I looked across as well he was not standing smugly beside my father as if he had already one the fight.

"Let the games begin" he said slowly drawing out a dagger from it's sheath on his belt, instantly I hurled myself into Caleb and forced myself into sleep much as I had done earlier. Not two seconds later we were in my apartment.

"We need time to work this out properly"

"I need to talk to my mother"

"What?! We don't have time!"

"I have to it's important when he tried to kill my mother but all rights she should have died being bashed that severely, I want to know why she didn't"

"Because of your line"

"What?"

"Your line. Your bloodline, it has something to do with your type of blood some people's lines have more endurance, more life in them"

"Are you saying I can't die?"

"No I am saying you are extremely hard to kill"

"Well...that's comforting" we both stared at each other for a while feeling like something had just passed between us building a bond, before the moment was taken but the sound of someone coming up the stairs, I looked across a Caleb quickly before shoving him into my room and under the bed, I jumped under the covers quickly and closed my eyes seconds after he door to my room opened and my mother put her head in, check to see if I was still asleep. When she had gone I pulled him out and we ran across the road to my apartment.

"We have got to get out of here, if we run we will buy ourselves time" I unlocked the door to my apartment walking in, to find to officers sitting on my couch waiting for me.

"Alexia Murry"

"Yes?" I said slightly cautious

"We are placing you under arrest for the murder of Ian Murry, you have the right to remain silent anything you do or say from now on can be used...." There voices suddenly seemed very far away, I was being arrested for the murder of my father. How that was possible I don't know considering I saw him not 5 minutes ago. They led me downstairs again and out the front of the building, I could hear Caleb's talking with the police officer in what seemed a heated argument, but what they were talking about have no idea, the heavy weight of a hand on my head reminded me to duck as the put me into the car. I remember protesting saying I didn't kill him and I hadn't seen him for almost 2 months but my screams and protests went unheard.

They placed me in a room that had no windows and only one door, I felt sick trapped in. The walls and ceiling where white matching the white tiles on the floor that was illuminated by a single light casting and artificial, overly bright white light over the room. I looked down at what I was wearing, it seemed they had replaced my clothes with pyjamas that seemed to be made out of paper and had the same colour theme as the rest of the room, white. The room was completely bare; it reminded me of a metal ward, which was rather ironic considering where I ended up. I don't know how long I was in there for, it felt like hours. I hadn't been brought any food or such in the time that I had been in the room; my sense of time had been completely thrown out of sync. Occasionally I would walk over and try the door or press my ear to it to listen for any sounds, eventually though I grew tired and curled up in the corner and fell asleep. I woke up to great dismay to find that in the time I had been sleeping (and god knows how long that had been) nothing in the room had changed. Suddenly I felt like a caged animal, which in theory I was, the air seemed to thicken in the room making breathing hard I ran to the door trying to pull it open so I could get air I dropped to the ground pulling my hand over my throat clawing at the neck of the top I was wearing, my lungs had constricted I started feeling dizzy still choking from lack of air, I started seeing black spots in my vision I looked around before dropping to the floor.

My head was thick when I resurfaced and my thoughts still sluggish, the first thing I noticed was that there were people in the room with me, I strained my hearing to listen to what they were saying.

"So what happened?" the first voice questioned it was a male voice. It had a deep tone of authority to it.

"Panic Attack" the second voice replied also a male voice, though it was one quiet different from the first.

"What caused it?"

"Some people panic when they are in closed off spaces for to long, it's very common in claustrophobic people" as I listened I realised that they were talking about me, suddenly everything came flooding back the room, the walls, no windows, all the whiteness, afraid of panicking again I tried to open my eyes open, still tired from previous events though it proved quiet a struggle and soon I drifted back into oblivion again exhausted and still to weak to move.

When I came around next time, I was determined to open my eyes so I struggled with the exhaustion that once again threatened to engulf me and forced open my eyes. Squinting with the sudden onslaught of light I tried again more slowly so as not to hurt my eyes, I linked a few times to clear my blurred vision. And I saw the officers at standing at my door guarding me, locking me in. I sighed and turned to look around the room. It was obvious I was in a hospital. Groaning I rolled over I hated hospitals. I started to wonder about what they had done with Caleb to get my mind of the fact I was in a hospital, not that it really mattered I had only just met him, obviously I hoped he was ok but he couldn't really help me now and I couldn't help him if he was in trouble. Things had defiantly taken a turn for the worst, now I guess I would have to wait and see how things played out.

There you have it

Love it? hate it? Let me know. I'm on holidays now so hopefully i will have a bit more time to write, update and get some more chapters up! :) Keep reviewing guys! thanks
